I know she was ready to leave this show. They never gave her a chance to truly shine. But she left with some great friendships, so that's something.
She had plenty of chances to shine and she truly did! It was written for her character to be the best singer on the show but she always getting over looked. It was one of the best story arcs in the show because there were moments when everybody had to stop and bow down...like this one.

@Deonte babb be fr even she and Ryan Murphy said they didn't like her story. She never truly got a moment to shine or get her flowers she said it, kevin said it and so did Ryan.

It occurred to me that this is the last solo of Mercedes Jones. Wow, she's by far the absolute best singer on Glee.

i recently re-watched the show and i cried just as much as i did during this scene as the first time. Mid performance i thought about the fact that Funn/Cory should’ve been there and i started bawling. I miss all of them so much

"Someday We'll Be Together" is a song written by Johnny Bristol, Jackey Beavers, and Harvey Fuqua.
It was the last ( in only 5 years, 1964-1969 ) of twelve American number 1 pop singles for Diana Ross & the Supremes on the Motown label.
"Someday We'll Be Together" sold , at time, more than 2 millions copies in USA only !
Although it was released as the final Supremes song featuring Diana Ross, who left the group for a solo career in January 1970, it was recorded as Ross' first solo single and Supremes members Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong do not sing on the recording.
The single topped the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in the final 1969 issue of Billboard magazine (dated December 27).
It would be the last number one hit of the 1960s.
