Two not so much known tricks I know are: 1. Put a Boo with wings inside side by side put blocks: The Boo will be alternating between coming out on the top and the bottom of your blocks - for some reason, that may fail with regular blocks every now and then, but with note-blocks it always works. 2. If you put items in Yoshi eggs they actually are stackable: Example: You get a mushroom from an egg. Before grabbing the egg (that needs to be on a track, so it not opens up as soon as it's loaded) for your mushroom get one from somewhere else - the egg will give you a fire flower instead. That can be exploited very far - even with items that aren't exactly meant to be stacked with each other. Great Video by the way. After almost every one I swear to myself that I will this or that in the next level - but then my laziness always get's the better of me. >.< Screw you Inner Moblin-Chainchomp!

Here's a chaotic idea you can use that I feel could be good if used right, but would be a bit tricky. Put a sideways spring on a lakitu cloud. It makes for an interesting but hard to manipulate platform that would make for some interesting new ways to play. Another idea I remember seeing is using a cape feather in the SMW style. Gain enough speed with it so you can fly and you can do a spin jump to maintain a specific height and move around against a ceiling in your path temporarily. Cape spin jump! Finally, another small idea but you probably already know this one. If you're making a level where you need to carry a POW block somewhere like the end of a level, you can place it on a conveyer belt by placing it down even if a one way door is blocking Mario's path. Yeah... I have plenty of ideas I haven't used yet and still need to get back into Mario Maker. Just wish it didn't drain the battery so much... XD
Just recently learned this while making a level in SMM1. Flying munchers can go through one-ways, even if the one way should be blocking it. It only works if the muncher is going upwards, as far as I can tell. I was building in the SMB1 style, but I didn’t test whether or not it works in the other styles.
I'd like to see a video on chain chomp stumps. You can remove a chain chomp from a stump by blowing it up. I tried playing around with them but they have really weird physics!

I have a few ideas of things that everyone takes for granted, but could be made into a really cool trick. 1-when Mario stands next to a pipe, nothing comes out. 2-giving a mushroom to a fire flower/leaf/feather/propeller turns it into a cool item that changes depending on marios status (and it doesn't have to be placed in a block) 3-hitting something on tracks with a blue shellmet will derail them. 4-If Mario is big and has a small boot and red shellmet, he can destroy enemies that are two blocks above him by jumping off saw blades, even if there is a single indestructible layer of ground between him and the enemy.
5-when Mario throws an item while spinning, he goes into a normal-jump state. 6-skewers and large thwomps only have a hitbox of three blocks, although they take up four; this can be used when Mario ducks or when climbing on a vine in smb style (if there is space next to you) to avoid it, as Mario takes up half a block. 7-in smb style, Mario on vines can be one block away from a grinder, and swapping towards it makes half of mario be behind the grinder.
I’m not sure if most people know it or it’s quite unknown, but if you push a note block into small Mario in an entrapped room with a wall or one way door on one side and a bullet blaster (not cannon) on the side, then Mario will use that bullet blaster as a REALLY fast elevator (it only works upwards though) it’s so fast that the camera can’t keep up with it I hope you learnt something, bye!
Very nice video as always. -Bouncing p switchs and pow on your head when they fall from a track. Can be used for some neat platforming or puzzles. - A question block will not be destroyed by a bobomb blast if you hit it at the correct timing.
The Spiny Helmet is my favourite powerup item in Super Mario Maker for how it pretty much turns the basic Mario platformer structure upside down. Killing enemies by jumping at them from below feels _so_ good.
here's one I put to work in a level I'm currently working on. even though most would never reach the maximum amount of vines, if such were to happen, you can still bypass it slightly if your level has two or more vines directly vertical in between blocks. the only limit to this is the max length of a vine. you just remove one of the two vines and stretch the remaining vine to compensate (the amount removed will always be one less than the amount currently used). stretching the vine prevents it from going inside a block.
Once in the NSMBU style, I hit the same brick block in one jump (as small Mario, of course). As I was coming down after hitting it, I did a ground pound to get some extra height and I hit it again
I think the enemy you're looking for are Burners. Burners aren't particularly useful except for activating bob-ombs, but knowing Ceave, he'll think of something.
Here's my ceiling clip trick: 1. There should be a cloud block on the ground with a note block on top. A ceiling should be covering the sides of the note block to work, and a wall to the right will make it useful. The trick: Go under the cloud block and spam the jump button. If timed right, Mario will go on the cloud block while the note clock is moving up for its animation. When it goes down, Mario isn't pushed down, but has rather clipped into a note block! Useful for elevators hidden in plain sight and trolls :D
Skewers pass through Bill Blasters and Skull Rafts from any directions! So you can actually "hide" Skewers with Bill Blasters no matter its direction, even from above (since Bill Blasters don't fall through Skull Rafts, you can place four on a raft and even hide the skewer that's pointing down.). Also, in the SMW style or NSMBU style, if you are small Mario and have a Spike or Buzzy Helmet on, and you crouch, Mario now deflects enemies walking to his side, AND shells that contact Mario on the sides simply bounce in the opposite direction!
The ground pound trick can also be used in Super Mario 64. You can get through the pillars that are attached to the wall in the castle that have coins on them. Then, you can clip up from there. Double jumps are not enough most of the time. But double jump + ground pound can go up most of the time.
1. Two bowser Jr's in clown cars revealed at the same time makes them laugh. 2. Put bowser jr with wings over an open area (no ground) and fly a clown car around. It's a pretty cool obsticle. 3. Bowser jr with wings throws green shells in his 3rd stage. (No clown car.)

Hammer Bro ideas: Mario finds himself in a fortress, but it looks like he's in the wrong castle. Again. there is dangerous hammer bros and buzzy beetles, and the only way for Mario to leave this place is by passing a P-Door. Luckily for him, there is a buzzy Shellmet and a sledge bro on the top of a semi solid platform. All Mario as to do is to carry the sledge bro on his head by using his special helmet to a P-switch Mario can't reach to leave this castle. the next idea features Mario's best dinosaur friend, Yoshi. he finds himself in a small room with one way platformes facing him, then he realise: there is munchers standing on the all ground, multiples hammer bros in front of him, and Bowser Jr. is in front of our plumber. It looks like Jr. has foreseen everything, because he is protected by a wall. But with Yoshi, that is not a problem.even Jr. is shooting fire balls at them, Yoshi can swallow hammers to send them right back at Bowser Jr. Hooray! Now Mario got the key and he's able to leave this castle. Defintely. Normaly Mario loves amusement parks. But this one lokks special. There is a Piranha roller coaster. While Mario tries to avoid deadly fire bars and sawblades, he finds hammer bros who are shooting hammers at him. But if Mario concentrates and have a lot of skill, he can manage to avoid them and go to the exit. (Most complicated way to trigger a P-switch with Sledge bro) ( here we can see a sledge bro moving by platforms; sometimes he get trapped, but this is not a problem because sledge bros and hammer bros are able to go down and jump 4 blocks high by ignoring walls) When I think about it, Hammer bros aren't that useful. They don't even have a movement patern like bloopers to trigger P-switches and ignate bob-ombs. I'm sorry, I cannot find cool ideas with hammer bros. Putting them on top of a boo?.. no.... in a buzzy tank moving platform (Bowser Jr. ideas / Buzzy beetles ideas)?.. maybe... in a Don't jump level?. That can be interesting. I'll let you decide what the last idea will be, and I hope you will forgive the hammer bro that killed you in a Super Expert level. He apologizes, and all the troll hammer bros apologizes too. They give you a chance to make a hammer bro video. They want to make people know they are not only here to kill plumbers.
5:58 yeah, it is simple, all Mario has to do is turn a spring into a POW block, and a POW block into a P switch, and grab a POW block out of thin air. it's that simple! -lol-
I know something useful about note blocks: Mario needs to get the P-switch off of the note block, but he can't reach it. Luckily he can hit the note block, when the P-switch touches the note block. Hooray!!
Stack a bunch of sideways springs. Move 4 blocks left and 2 blocks up from the block you used to stack them and place a block to stack more springs. 2 blocks to the left of the first block, place a block and stack koopas on it. 2 blocks to the left of that block, place a row of blocks. Then send in a large koopa shell into the springs, and it will bounce up, always leaving 1 koopa left. Yyyyyep.
Here is a funny trick in super mario bros style, If u place a locked door at the castle at the end of the level. He will try to open the door, fails, and crouches
In the NSMBU style, you can do two triple jumps in a row with only 5 jumps. All you need to do is a triple jump, and then shortly after being on the highest point of the triple jump, quickly tap left and then keep running right. If you did it correctly you will do another triple jump with only 2 more jumps. This allows many levels to be cheated.
As big Mario you can manage to fit in a space that only small Mario can normally fit through underwater by repeatingly crouching while moving to the right.
if u put a sideways spring ontop of a chain chomp it forces the chomp to alternate between left and right whenever it unwinds instead of aiming for mario

I have a mechanic that I call The POW Dive, in the Mario World theme, use the cape feather and dive bomb straight into the ground, it acts like a POW block when thrown.
You could also use a mushroom/fire flower on a note block and with a Muncher in it, and have a small gap. Ta da! You’ve created a ‘Don’t touch the mushrooms’ contraption!! P.S: Yes, I came up with this on my own 3DS Mario Maker, Ceave.
In the NSMBU and SMW Themes, Crouching while wearing a Shellmet Causes certain things to 'Bounce' off of Mario. this only works if Mario is small however. I tested this with Enemies, Sliding Koopa Shells, and Even Bowser. Maybe you can use this idea in one of your levels.

in the super mario bros U version, if you have a shellmet or a spikemet, and a busybeetle shell or a spiny shell comes tward you, you can block it by ducking with the helmet on

Don't get me wrong, I love your ideas, but I hate abusing glitches. I think the Buzzy Beetle and Podoboo one is a glitch, and the conveyor belts in pipes. Also, with the Bob-Omb dash challenge, you can make Super Mario Run!

A chain chomp's post can occupy a lakitu's cloud or a clown car by itself. It makes a uniquely non-lethal enemy

In the SMW theme, you can spin-jump while holding an something. You just have to spin-jump right before you pick up the desired object.
If you put winged bowser on a track out of sight, you can make it rain fireballs (it works on all game types(has to be upwards out of sight))!

5:58 yeah, it is simple, all Mario has to do is turn a spring into a POW block, and a POW block into a P switch, and grab a POW block out of thin air.

I know something useful about note blocks: Mario needs to get the P-switch off of the note block, but he can't reach it. Luckily he can hit the note block, when the P-switch touches the note block. Hooray!!

Stack a bunch of sideways springs. Move 4 blocks left and 2 blocks up from the block you used to stack them and place a block to stack more springs. 2 blocks to the left of the first block, place a block and stack koopas on it. 2 blocks to the left of that block, place a row of blocks. Then send in a large koopa shell into the springs, and it will bounce up, always leaving 1 koopa left.

Here's one! Put a sideways pipe under a vertical pipe, or vise versa. You officially made a one way pipe!
In the NSMBU style, you can do two triple jumps in a row with only 5 jumps. All you need to do is a triple jump, and then shortly after being on the highest point of the triple jump, quickly tap left and then keep running right. If you did it correctly you will do another triple jump with only 2 more jumps. This allows many levels to be cheated.
5:51 it can actually be done not only by using the pow block then the p-switch, but it can actually also be done the other way around!
Its also possible, while u wearing a helmet, that mario can jumps under spikes and dont get any damage from it :D
As big Mario you can manage to fit in a space that only small Mario can normally fit through underwater by repeatingly crouching while moving to the right.

I have a mechanic that I call The POW Dive, in the Mario World theme, use the cape feather and dive bomb straight into the ground, it acts like a POW block when thrown.
this marks the first time ceave said "it's actually surprisingly simple" word by word
You could also use a mushroom/fire flower on a note block and with a Muncher in it, and have a small gap. Ta da! You’ve created a ‘Don’t touch the mushrooms’ contraption!!

In the NSMBU and SMW Themes, Crouching while wearing a Shellmet Causes certain things to 'Bounce' off of Mario. this only works if Mario is small however. I tested this with Enemies, Sliding Koopa Shells, and Even Bowser. Maybe you can use this idea in one of your levels.

Everytime a Fire Bubble appears in a Ceave Video: A glitch happens, and Anonymous Bubble sometimes appears.
The "Lava Bubbles" are actually called "Podobo's", try and place them in the game, the sound you hear when you place stuff says its name
They used to be called podoboos. They are called Lava bubbles now

Don't get me wrong, I love your ideas, but I hate abusing glitches. I think the Buzzy Beetle and Podoboo one is a glitch, and the conveyor belts in pipes. Also, with the Bob-Omb dash challenge, you can make Super Mario Run!
