As one of the first to happen upon DS' channel, I am again thankful that a content creator like DS has been able to consistently offer concrete and clear presentations on a wide variety of installs and troubleshooting topics.
I've had Fedora with KDE Plasma on my newest "daily driver" PC for about 9 months now and love it. Kernel and packages are 95% as new as Arch, but without the Grub, Pacman, and Keyring headaches. Fedora's implementation of Wayland is EXCELLENT- especially for multiple monitor setups with different resolutions. Also, it doesn't get "confused" when going back and forth between a virtual machine and the host the way x11 does sometimes.
I found this tutorial when I first checked out Linux and used it to switch from windows 10 to fedora. This tutorial is really great for new beginner's I am even sharing it with new beginners who want to switch to fedora. This tutorial is great. Great job.
@@JEETRICO Nope clean install. The first time was because I was very new to linux the second time I understood what I needed to do and did it correctly and everything from now on was easy and clean.

Well both are great. I have a video on Ubuntu as well. I personally am a Debian person. My pick for the easier to learn Linux options would be either Ubuntu or Debian to start.
@@Digital-Scriptorium uh no it was when I restarted it forced me to reinstall fedora and I did and restarted again and it uhh stayed on the black screen for a long time until I force shutdown and re boot it back up and it was installed. Thank you this tutorial worked. I am new to linux and some things can be hard for me to manage. And this tutorial was easy and simple.👍
I was so frustrated when I could not do 'sudo' as I was not root / administrator. Fedora really went the wrong way here and I probably won't use this because it's such a roadblock.
Fedora is not the best for gaming I would use Garuda Linux if you want only Steam games installing Xbox360 drivers is simple VIA Terminal it's basically better than SteamOS and overclocks your computer for you on how light weight it is.
@@Digital-Scriptorium but what's that administrative access problem in fedora. I am not aware. Is it like window, to use sudo open terminal again. Someone was talking about it down in the comments.
I didn't mention it or show it as it's not my recommendation to have Linux and Windows on the same drive. Windows updates have a nasty habit of damaging GRUB.

Uh hello I got a Error saying no bootable device found after reinstalling fedora. I tried legacy boot and it did not work. Can someone help me ??

Yeah, I usually pull the thumb drive as soon as it reboots for the first time.

Is it a super new computer? It sounds like it doesn't have the driver's to detect your chipset for the hard drive to be recognized.

Debian is what I consider the vanilla Linux experience IMO.
Following up - the solution was to use/run Nobara! It has so many 'helper' shortcuts that I don't even think about it anymore.

What's the point of this video if you're not going to show partitionning the hard drive, 99% of the people can't just nuke their Windows.
