I still can't believe that Paul McGann played both Girard and Jussac, the head of Cardinal Richelieu's guards! They did a great job making him look like two different people! I love this movie! Some of the best movies were made in the '90s!!!❤❤❤💜⚔️⚔️
I couldn’t stop laughing. D’artagnan, I’m here to protect my sister’s honour but upon hearing the line one for all and all for one he ran as fast as he could. There were at least 20 musketeers chasing him, including D’artgnan
In this film, "Girard" played by Paul McGann also played the character "Jussac" from the Cardinal's Guards - he was the character who kept attempting to arrest Athos, Porthos and Aramis.
The best ending ever. Not only has D'Artagnan spent the entire movie trying to escape Girard, he's also been trying to belong and join the musketeers. And even though it seems he has three friends for life who will protect him no matter what, it's far deeper than that. The entire Musketeer Corps assembles, at a moment's notice, and chases Girard and his brothers away. D'Artagnan doesn't just have friends. He has a whole new family.
Great series but...why the 2nd? It was the darkest in the series as opposed to "feel good". His father was murdered, Doc disappeared, Biff was powerful, the "present" was dark, his good life was gone, and he was trapped again in 1955 at the conclusion.
i laughed the first time when those 5 thought they could gang up on d´artagnan only for the whole musketeer squad charging them... and years later i still laugh at the scene
The, 8th, Doctor from Doctor Who / Girard and his brothers cowardly ran away from D'artagnan and the Musketeers. It's so stupid and foolish of him to resist fighting D'artagnan when he's not as skilled of a sword fighter as he and neither is even courageous. Another thing, he's probably doing it all for nothing for his sister's, which her honor isn't at stake for what went with her and D'artagnan. Which he was probably telling the truth to, but has to assume so. He's a musketeer Girard, you mess with one musketeer and you mess with them all. All for one and one for all.
I'm almost 60 years old, and for the first 50 of those years, it was almost impossible for Disney NOT to make a blockbuster. They could do no wrong. For example, when I heard Disney was making a live action Musketeer movie in the 90s, I automatically knew it would be a hit, and I was right. WTF have those people been doing for these last ten years? It seems like it's impossible for them NOT to make a flop.
I think that too much money is needed now to make a movie successful and the studio stopped making original films and they now make films that they think will guarantee they will make money. Look at when movies start and they present the studio making the film. Before it was only one maybe, two studios involved. Now when a film start, they list four to five studios working on the movie. There is no room for art or for experimentation. There is no room for taking chance. Studio executives only want to make money. They rather suck the juice of something that has been successful rather than making something new that might flop.
Never realized all the other musketeers in the background when Girad showed up. I knew about and still love the entire group chasing him down at the end, but I didn't realize he screwed up that badly.
One day I want to become a actor and play with the good guys roles to be the Babyface WWE wrestler and actor Jason Munoz stars in remake movie in the 3 musketeers
To the 3 musketeers…not to feel guilty about treating me like a run away servant. I am fine. Learned a lot and was able to cry my sinuses clear. Do go your ways and I will do my thing. Over and out. I feel so free. Lovely.

Wow. Close to 20 years knowing this film, and I just learned this. Nice

Besides the main cast and the great Tim Curry in their prime, I love Girard as well. “RUUUN!”🤣
My favourite part of the film the entire Musketeers army charged at the bad guys great ending for the film indeed

It's mine too and the sound he makes this just priceless

I’ve seen this movie but never realized he was in it till now and it has cracked me up!!!😂😂
Don't forget he was also killed by D'artagnan in an earlier skirmish
Whenever he scream and running away from Daleks
He also played Jussac, the head of Cardinal Richelieu's guards!
There should be a title The 8th Doctor visiting France in the 1620's.
Never gets old, best part of the film

By far, this is probably the best adaptation (and my favourite one with the wonderful Anime Sanjushi)
The Musketeers are true bros.
Takes me back to age 11 in 1993 between Anchorage Alaska and Tacoma Washington oh the good old 90s God I miss them everyday

Girard is the most animated Non-Animated Disney character ever.
Such a lovely scene that shows the value of friendship. That is gang assault 5 vs. 100+ Musketeers but Girard and his bastards deserve it.
