A mi este programa me encanta, su interpretación con pasión y actitud, con movimientos de brazos, palmas y hasta zapateado característico del flamenco, excelente baile en hielo
I am a huge fan of V&M but I agree this OD hasn't blown me away yet. Although V&M are never 'frantic' or 'hectic' this doesn't yet have the self-assured flow that one usually sees from them. And, I agree Marina Annisina is a bench mark of "owning" and "commanding" this style. Of course, there is time to work on this and they obviously truly dedicated skaters. Whatever our views I wish them well.
This is an excellent program. It is 'flamenco' adapted as an ice dance...therefore it has been speeded up, constantly moving. It would've been wrong to keep it static. I mean they supposedly worked with a flamenco master. Scott's posture could've been more erect...but overall, an excellent effort!!
hi @HelTra91. What I meant was something like Marina Annisina's expression. There was just that sort of cockiness that makes someone think that they owned the ice with their flamenco. It's like in Latin dances, they all go out with some ego. It's just the character though, and I'm just speaking from my observations.
Virtue and Moir have the more refined dances compared to Davis and White. In my opinion they also have the better technique. However, D&W's programs are the more fun ones to watch this season.
More of a show dance than flamenco; G & G's interpretation is more 'Flamenco'. I am enjoying this though _ very much. D & W's OD is more difficult because of the hand movements and speed. I think D & W's more original and does capture the spirit of the Indian dance.
Maybe as a fan, I'm quick to make excuses for these two. But with the flight problems that they had;j jet lag was probably an issue. See at 2:25, the way Tessa swung her skirt was not as convincing as when she did the same move in TEB.
No, it is not. Flamenco is a fiery ... soul dance. The movements are there but the performance lacks something _ I suppose_ the innate fire and spirit that makes the dance stands out!

Loved it!

I thin if you watch at about 1:30 -1.34 Scott loses his balance quickly but recovers so maybe that lost them levels.
lol at tessa missing her mouth when she drank from her water bottle.
It looks like Tessa loses her balance for a second at 1:03 too, during the twizzle in the step sequence.

Scott's expression is spot on, but I think Tessa's require a bit more arrogance.
flamenco doesn't need that much arrogance. It's not paso.

I mean the performance is not as memorable as it should be!
her expression requires a bit more arrogance? what?
