Sad truth, the only things that are known in Brazil are those pieces of shit funks and sertanejo. Finnish people have a much more solid culture of metal, respect to all and specially to Sonata Arctica \,,/

It really is! And Ari Koivunen was only 23 years old in this and self trained singer, never took singing lessons. I bet he would be even 200 % better if he know would sing it.
Well I just got home from it and I was pretty impressed with Ari! I can see what you mean about them being pretty different but I like a lot of different kinds of metal and really enjoyed them,a nd yes, Ensiferum were brilliant. Also never realised Ari could growl!
i wish i could enlight the "idols" in israel with sonata arctica's songs.... i can sing them perfectly it's just that i wont even pass the audition... not a metal population.... most ppl here like eastern music. i hate it! all of the lyrics in hebrew eastern music are as deep as a spit puddle. sonata arctica rules when it comes to great melodies combined with super great lyrics! just perfect! oh and great drummer!

Koivunen covers Sonata Arctica in here, which used to be a power metal band. Metal consists of a lot of subgenres which have their own distinct sound. Power metal is the opposite of the stereotypical metal. A lot of people seem to think metal has only screaming/growling vocals and is about the devil and negativity, but power metal usually has high clean vocals and they sing about goodness and fantasy stories. Because most power metal bands have a positive sound, it's easily confused with rock :p
I am German and I like the Finnish or Sweden Version of American Idol more than the German, because there you can`t sing songs like these because the judge especially dieter bohlen wold say ,,wie don`t know this song, don`t sing this kind of songs"...but in skandinavia you could do this, thats fantastic :)

I think folk supports would have been better because the supports were so different in music :p Ensiferum was great as always :D But yeah, I don't know why but I find Ari more convincing in this video than when I saw Amoral live.
