i wish i could enlight the "idols" in israel with sonata arctica's songs.... i can sing them perfectly it's just that i wont even pass the audition... not a metal population.... most ppl here like eastern music. i hate it! all of the lyrics in hebrew eastern music are as deep as a spit puddle. sonata arctica rules when it comes to great melodies combined with super great lyrics! just perfect! oh and great drummer!
Well I just got home from it and I was pretty impressed with Ari! I can see what you mean about them being pretty different but I like a lot of different kinds of metal and really enjoyed them,a nd yes, Ensiferum were brilliant. Also never realised Ari could growl!
i'd love to see someone on american idol covering a sonata song.. sad part is most of them havent even heard of sonata arctica.. also ari's album did not suck at all it was actually quite good.. instead of bashing him listen to it you may actually like it

Power metal is the opposite of the stereotypical metal. A lot of people seem to think metal has only screaming/growling vocals and is about the devil and negativity, but power metal usually has high clean vocals and they sing about goodness and fantasy stories. Because most power metal bands have a positive sound, it's easily confused with rock :p
He's currently in the band Amoral, who were formerly a melodic death metal band so it's kind of a big transition for the band, nonetheless I enjoy their music.
I am German and I like the Finnish or Sweden Version of American Idol more than the German, because there you can`t sing songs like these because the judge especially dieter bohlen wold say ,,wie don`t know this song, don`t sing this kind of songs"...but in skandinavia you could do this, thats fantastic :)
