- Doordarshan's eternal signature tune is credited to Pt Ravi Shankar. This melody reminds us of our childhood.
DD is the state-owned tv network in India. On 15 September 1959, at the studio of All India Radio, Delhi, the very first TV channel in India, started an experimental telecast with a small transmitter and a makeshift studio. Until 1965, DD was part of All India Radio, so all the regular daily transmissions were operated by All India Radio. Later in 1982, Doordarshan became the national broadcaster. - บันเทิง

We miss our childhood. Golden days. That's why. Only one channel, but together we watch the programs, with loads of happiness. Now many more channels, Netflix, Amazon prime, etc... But no happiness only depression. It's because we are watching them "alone".

No tv channels can replace Doordarshan. We miss the enjoyment of sending and receiving inland letters. Miss Doordarshan tv programs which always stays in our hearts... The only program we still watch is Rangoli.
