Funny story my little brother Korey & I had people ask if we were the voice actor s for zero & vile.cuz our voices sound so much like the voice actor s for them. His sounded like vile ,even know zero is favorite lol.
Being a HUGE fan of Vile, I feel he deserved more appearances in the Megaman X storyline. What they should have done was have him appear in X5. The story would be as follows: Sigma discovers the remains of Iris and discovers her memory chip is functional. He resurrects Vile, putting the chip into Vile's programming, thus giving Vile access to Iris's memories. Considering that Sigma's plot in X5 was to influence Zero into going Maverick, he could send Vile to fight Zero and use those memories of Iris to emotionally antagonize Zero in order to make him go insane and have the virus take over. That and Vile could be sent to kill X as usual. Also, Vile should be in Megaman Xtreme 3 if they ever make that, he could escape from being destroyed in Xtreme 3, because in X8 when Vile is first seen in the scene where he kidnaps Lumine, Zero is quoted as saying that he is a wanted criminal. That would imply Vile had been revived for quite some time. Just food for thought.
As for your first idea, I think it would work out like this: Vile and Zero would fight each other. Zero, weighed down by his emotions, would lose. BUT! Just as File is about to finish Zero, Iris would (somehow) take control of Vile and beg for Zero to finish Vile, even though doing so would destroy her as well. Zero, not wanting to lose Iris again for good, refuses. However, as File is just about to regain control, Zero would go screw it! and finish off Vile. That's my opinion. Honestly, it's a BIT cliche. Plus, being new to the franchise, I don't know how everything works in their continuity. It's just an idea though. Probably not the best, but an idea.
I've played the pc version of this a decade ago. I've unlocked everything without cheat and now 10 years later discovered a trainer. Btw i-m trying the ps2 version via emulator and somehow im finding it hard.
5:59 switch to zero and use Juuhazan by pressing the special weapon button ( with no other arrows ) while grounded this allow Zero to defeat heavily barrier guarded guards do with the same move with T Breaker this allow you to execute this move more quickly by the way how could you unlock the sigma blade without unlocking black Zero

+Diego Souza , I like Dynamo and Vile simply could have accompanied Dynamo, kind of like Bit and Byte did to him, meaning Vile, in Mega/Rock Man X3.

It is "hard" because you are playing the console version, the controls are different
