FAQ:
Q:What pencil, paper, pen (etc) do you use?
A: I generally use a 2b drawing pencil and artist sketch paper, sometimes Bristol. Check out my Art Supplies video for more information. • Drawing Supplies
Q: How do you record your videos?
A: I use a Sony Handycam HD to record my videos and Adobe Elements Premier for editing
Q: Can I send you mail?
A: Yes! Make sure you check that the correct postage is on the envelope or it won't make it to me.
Q: Will you write me back?
A: If you include a self-addressed stamped envelope, I will reply back to you! :)
Q: Can you draw a picture of my dog. horse, cat, Mother (Etc)
A: Unfortunately, I am unable to take personal requests. If you are interested in purchasing a commissioned drawing from me, send me a message for more information.
Q: How can I get better at drawing?
A: The biggest thing you can do is keep drawing! Never give up. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Found out recently the reason they use different sized figures is for different perspective shots, so up close or distant but still relative to the set. Crazy amount of work!
Right! I had a lot of respect for their craft before but after seeing it first hand... wow!
I am insanely jealous. I'm obsessed with studio Laika, but live nowhere near Portland, so thank you for sharing!
I really hope they take this exhibit on tour! It is fabulous.
Kubo was so beautiful! Also heart breaking, but Laika work is so incredible not even a movie just purely art
Right!!
Aw man , you should of taken me with you , I love Coraline , it was my favorite movie
sorry! I should have told more people I was going. It would have been a blast to meet up with everyone! :)
How awesome that they allowed you to film in there! Thank you for sharing!
I know!!! I was a bit nervous when I asked and surprised when they said it was fine as long as I didn't use flash lighting.
I love Cartoon Saloon responsible for The Secret of Kells, The Breadwinner, and my personal favorite The Song of the Sea.
Ooh another video 😍 Can't wait to see more MerMay again too!
Next Monday will be the next MerMay update! Are you drawing in mermay too?
Art ala Carte yeah :) I'm still at the beginning of my art journey though and seeing your amazing mermaids is a huge inspiration 😊
wowie :00
its all so beautiful
btw my faves are Kubo and the two strings and Coraline
Mine too!!! I like them all the those two just...aaaaa.. so good!
oh thank you for blessing our eyes and showing us this exibit!
These are some of my FAVORITE movies!!!!
Laika is freeking amazing, great video!
It's so far! 😭 I love Laika films. ❤
I admire those who can work stop motion, because I could not. 😅
Yes... it is a lot of hard work!
I adore stop motion sooo much! You’re very lucky to go and see all the exhibits!
Looks awesome! Hope u had fun!
I had a blast! Thank you
Thank you for sharing that experience with us. Favourites Coraline and box trolls .
Apparently they are working on a new comedy film called 'Missing Link' which is going to come out next spring!
Awesome! I knew you guys would know! so excited!
Coralines garden literally took my breath away, I actually started to tear up when I saw it. Best thing to do for my birthday I loved it to pieces! It was one of those things that made my heart just swell with happiness ^^
I watched Kubo for the first time after going to the exhibit, and I loved it! I've watched it several times and have the art book for it too (that I got at Powells in Portland, and caught a glimpse of in your Insta video when you hid some art there!).
My favorite ever animated movie is Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, there are SO many gorgeous scenes and creative designs and characters. I've loved it ever since I was a little girl, and I still watch it occasionally.
I haven’t seen Nemo in soo long time. What an imaginative movie. Thanks for reminding me about it. I have it in my rare animation collection
Nice exhibit!
I like Kubo and that's practically all those clay movies are
I am not a fan of dark movies, so I have never seen any of theirs (not even Nightmare before Christmas). This was a great inside look at stop motion video, though. Everything was so intricate! Thank you for sharing. I may not be a fan of the movies, but I am in awe over the level of art and engineering that is needed.
I love stop motion! Aardman productions is probably my favourite, having grown up on Wallace and Gromit. :)
Comment your favorite character from Coraline! Mine is the cat lol.
I loved the creepy doll!
Moon Knight Productions Lol I like the cat
Kiki's delivery service I like lighthearted films so I avoid this studio's stuff. But the house looks like a pink playhouse! Thanks for sharing Valerie!
I love Kiki too!!
so guess what ? I was living in beaverton oregon and the second I moved back to c.j oregon my old class takes a trip to this exact location and we're taking pictures of the same exact spots you were at and I'm so jealous!! coraline I'd one of my favorite movies and I missed the exhibit and you! My timing is the worst😣😩
Hope u had a lot of fun and I love you you are awesome!!
Oh I did! so much fun!
I love Kubo. Beetle was adorable! For Coraline, the cat. He's just so odd. As for my favorite animated film... I don't know. One movie I can't stop squealing at though is Mune:The Guardian of the Moon(originally in French). Others I really love are the How to Train Your Dragon movies.
Wish I could have seen it!!
Hands down, my favorite animated film is The Flight of Dragons. ^__^ It's based on a fantasy novel and I believe it actually came out the same year as The Last Unicorn. I love the cast for this because it's about a heroic quest, but the band of heroes is not your standard Tolkien party. Amongst them, you have a middle aged -ish knight gallant, a dragon who doesn't know how to be a dragon (because plot reasons I won't spoil for you), and a talking wolf to name a few of the main characters. This also had one of my very first "strong female" characters I looked up to as well.
Most people I've met have never even heard of it, and it's a bit dated at this point perhaps, and a bit campy maybe... But I still absolutely love it and recommend it.
This was so interesting! Thanks for sharing it with those who live a bit too far to see it in person! XD
It was well worth the 8 hour drive to see it but any farther and I doubt I would have made it. Glad I was able to share it with you guys!
just watching this again makes me happy I guess this week is the sad week I didn't get to say by to my cat and he's gone m grandma took him to a clinic to be healthy but if he is not good then they'll put him down😿💙🐈😖
You are so freaking adorable!! 😍
At 50 seconds you say they mold them but they actually 3D print them love your vids
I was sick and stayed home and my parents went and ate and didn't get me food and you mad me happy
sorry your feeling sick... get some good rest.
When I was about 7 or 8 six at the youngest my mother came home and told me and my older cousin she bought Coraline. Now we thought it'd be a 'fun' movie but when youre a kid and you see a woman turning into this demoncic skeleton lady yi can't help but hide under the covers 3/4 of the movie. lol
yes.... they are dark.....
They have a movie coming out in 2019 look it up I forgot what it’s name is but it starts with an L
A lot of work to do those movies, geez.
Omg my name is leika
