"Those crazy years That was the time of the flower-power But underneath We had a fear of flying Of getting old A fear of slowly dying We took a chance Like we were dancing our last dance" Underneath we all have a fear of getting old and moving towards dying, but do we all take dance like this is the last time? One day it will be. This is a deeply sad song, though it has a nostalgic feel to it. Have you heard Like an Angel Passing Through my Room? Please try it if you haven't. It is also genuis. What a lovely couple you seem.
Muscial memories from my youth - puts me into a somewhat nostalgic mood. Already way back then I felt this song had some kind of melancholic undertone.
Perhaps the best on the sentimental side, along with slipping through my fingers and my love my life. But they had so much more than that single aspect of song writing, from folk music and schlager or cabaré music to rock, funk, disco, classical and new wave, a synthy almost jazzy pop music.
Seconded. Though, talking about their rock songs, "Rock Me" and "So Long" are recommendable as well. And "On and on and on" also has at least a very rocking chorus.
“Our last summer” is one of my very favorite Abba songs. Frida is so good on this track and the harmonies are stunning. And I don’t like the Beatles either
There are plenty of hidden great ABBA gems out there...have you guys for example heard songs like Man in the middle, My mama said? Two really funky great songs by ABBA...well worth reacting too...or rock pearls like Rock Me,Watch Out, Hey Hey Helen? All quite unknown but very much great, loved ABBA songs...
You will get your wish about Abba never ending. They've been back in the studio after a 35 year break and have at least 3, maybe 5 new songs coming out, starting at the end of this year. :)
This song can also be called a hidden gems, its a good song, but comparing it with other ABBA song its not one of my favorites, but the ABBA quality that is always very high makes this song still a very good tune that holds up well in competetion with non ABBA music...
Yes, the end was tragic and kinda weird because they never really announced it. I was devastated because I was such a fan back then. It reconciles me that nowadays everybody seems to see that they were genious. Back in the day they were sometimes frawned upon. But man, while they were together they hit out so many incredible songs. Each song surprised me, you could never foresee what a song was like by its title. This song already made me feel nostalgic as a teenager, and my gosh where have the years gone. Still one of my favorites, it was back then and it is now. Thanks for the nice videos you are making, you are such a cute couple.
Try "ABBA - Medley (Pick a Bale of Cotton - On Top of Old Smokey - Midnight Special)" the only ABBA cover and totally rocks! 🔥 I don't understand, why this track haven't become a hit
Hello, beautifulpeople! so good to see you with another ABBA song I left three comments: 1) the song "Our last summer" has a beautiful melody and a beautiful interpretation by Frida, with Agnetha supporting it in the backing vocals. It's a very good song, but it's not one of my favorites from the "Super Trouper" album (my Top 3 from these album is: The winner takes it all Super Trouper , The Piper ) 2) Björn & Benny are fantastic songwriters and ABBA is an iconic and cult group, both the best after Lennon & McCartney and THE BEATLES respectively I'm not going to argue about musical taste, they are all varied and respectable (I don't like Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones or AC / DC) What should be noted is that BEATLES is the most important transcendental and revolutionary group, in the history of rock & pop music (and the same to Lennon & McCartney as songwriters) 3) One suggestion for you is to see ABBA live at one of their memorable performances in Australia 1977 or London 1979 the energy they have on stage exceeds what they have already done excellent in recording studios A good option is "Summer Night City" th-cam.com/video/fhS3B1YifXQ/w-d-xo.html I wish you a good week My best regards from Argentina
6:12 I agree, I don't understand the Beatles either. Sure, I can hear qualities in some of their songs, but their sound still repels me more than the opposite.
There are actually serveral music professors that have said that Anderson/Ulvaeus and ABBA was exeptional music creators/performers, and probably better than Lennon/McCartney and Beatles. And that is statements made out of composition and variation, not on fanbased emotions and interactions.
My mom had all the ABBA albums when I was a kid so their music has always been around me, although I may not have taken much notice at the time. It wasn't until I grew up that I learned to fully appreciate them. Now, among the bands I have listened to since my early teens, there have been a few that have covered ABBA. The first one that came out was UK band Blancmange with their version of "The Day Before You Came" released in 1984, and it's probably my favourite. The music video actually features clips of Agnetha Fältskog (the blonde ABBA singer), and as it's an official video I'm guessing she must have approved. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/435Tj7YEeJY/w-d-xo.html
Honestly try listen to all 8 of their albums. Perhaps starting with their last (The Visitors) and going backwards in time. There are so many great songs that aren't on the ABBA gold album! And the structure of the individual albums flow nicely. The last 5/6 albums were masterpieces and the first two were fun and good. Also two songs not in any album as they were published after the last album "You owe me one" and "I am the city". Both great songs!
I've got to see your reaction of the Lanie Gardner cover of Dreams (Stevie Nicks). I know you've heard it because EVERYBODY has, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks, Jim
If you looking for amazing vocals and harmonies you must react to "I've been waiting for you' by Abba A fantastic song Keep up the good work You two are a delight to listen to
Hope you like it If you want a rare treat where all 4 harmonies together you have to listen to Dance (While the music still goes on) Everyone smiles ear to ear when they listen to that song
From someone who owns their entire discography, this is the best ABBA music video there is: Abba - The Last Video (Official Video) th-cam.com/video/8L6T6Yj5u4k/w-d-xo.html
I don't like the Beatles either, Abba has more musical skills, the Beatles are still celebrated as the heroes on the radio, Abba were discarded as a girl band and boycotted by the radio stations too commercial that does the band an injustice. If music videos had existed at the time, the Beatles wouldn't have said no to them.
This is a great song. They have very few average ones. However, their biggest influence was Lennon and McCartney. Disliking the Beatles is your choice. But it is sad to me. Take care.
Top 10 ABBA song for me .. Melodic, emotional, nostalgic, and perfectly performed .. One of Frida's very best lead vocals !
Our Last Summer and One Man, One Woman are my two favorite ABBA songs.
Thank You for the Music, the Way Old Friends Do, and Slipping Through My Fingers are 3 songs that don't get enough attention.
Oh and Rock Me and On and On and On.
One of my favourite ABBA songs ❤️
My old, cynical heart melts with this song. It's one of the most romantic songs ever and also one of ABBA's best.
I love this song! They used it in the last Thor movie.
Every single song of the Super Trouper album is a gem. Genious songwriting.
"Those crazy years

We had a fear of flying
Of getting old

Haven't heard this one by ABBA.
Their harmonies were amazing.
Muscial memories from my youth - puts me into a somewhat nostalgic mood. Already way back then I felt this song had some kind of melancholic undertone.
The singing is perfect as usual.
My two favourite ABBA songs have to be "Happy New Year" and "Andante, Andante". Not sure why exactly but they always put a lump in my throat...
Perhaps the best on the sentimental side, along with slipping through my fingers and my love my life. But they had so much more than that single aspect of song writing, from folk music and schlager or cabaré music to rock, funk, disco, classical and new wave, a synthy almost jazzy pop music.
Eagerly waiting on their new songs
I love this and I love ABBA 😍😍
3:49 Ohh Frida ♥♥♥♥
Have you heard the song Disillusion. Sung by Agnetha and written by Agnetha.
From 1973. Fantastic song.
Try ABBA's Hard Rock - Hey Hey Helen. Fantastic!
Im agreeing with Jody, please do Hey Hey Helen! :)
Seconded. Though, talking about their rock songs, "Rock Me" and "So Long" are recommendable as well. And "On and on and on" also has at least a very rocking chorus.
You need to hear "Put On Your White Sombrero", fantastic song, indeed... I think I'll just do that right now myself!
“Our last summer” is one of my very favorite Abba songs. Frida is so good on this track and the harmonies are stunning.

2 new songs are out! New album in November. Let’s hope Mike and Ginger react to the new songs.
This song can also be called a hidden gems, its a good song, but comparing it with other ABBA song its not one of my favorites, but the ABBA quality that is always very high makes this song still a very good tune that holds up well in competetion with non ABBA music...
this song always made me kind of sad. they sing like angels ;) one of my favorites is Eagle

This is one of Agnetha's favourite ABBA songs!
Really? She didn't even sing it!
@@Davey7358 - She sang on the chorus!! And, why should she only favour the songs that she led?
They should make videoclips for all these songs that havent one originally. Now with the avatars!!
Try "ABBA - Medley (Pick a Bale of Cotton - On Top of Old Smokey - Midnight Special)" the only ABBA cover and totally rocks! 🔥 I don't understand, why this track haven't become a hit
Its really nice Ginger, that you react to ABBA with your father.Stay strong 🐈⬛🐈🫂♥️
Is he her father or partner
The song. People needs love whit group. Festfolket is ABBA in 1972 if not listen to that listen. Best song ever 👍😃
How are you guys smiling while listeking to this? I'm crying like a bay this song is so sad 😭

so good to see you with another ABBA song

I'm not going to argue about musical taste, they are all varied and respectable (I don't like Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones or AC / DC)
What should be noted is that BEATLES is the most important transcendental and revolutionary group, in the history of rock & pop music (and the same to Lennon & McCartney as songwriters)
3) One suggestion for you is to see ABBA live at one of their memorable performances in Australia 1977 or London 1979
the energy they have on stage exceeds what they have already done excellent in recording studios
A good option is
"Summer Night City"

You two have the best vibe...like Devine Masculine and Divine Feminine!
Thank you, Rick! We work hard at working well together- G

Lennon / Mcartney could be as good as Abba. Freddie Mercury too and plenty more. But have a higher strike rate, far fewer fillers and duff.
Good for coffee ☕❤✌

Frida, te AMO !!!!😍😍😍
👍
Frida! Always #1
Bjorn and Benny both are actually songwriters for nearly all ABBAsongs.
Benny MOSTLY responsible for the music, Bjorn MOSTLY responsible for the Lyrics. Read about what they claimed.
Animals fan is rolling in his sofa ;-)
Benny = song writer Bjorn = lyric writer

I was feeling down so the doctor told me to take two ABBA songs every day 🐈⬛🐈🫂♥️
Sounds legit
I’m with you. I’m from Liverpool and I can’t stand the Beatles.
Did they ever make a bad track ? Nope !
Please react Alffy Rev - Beauty of Bali 🙏👍❤️🇮🇩

Nice to hear someone else say they don't like the Beatles...same here.
They made arround 115 songs so..
G if you don't know this one you haven't seen Mamma Mia.
I haven’t! - G
