Being well-acquainted with free reed instruments like harmonica and accordion, I've always been interested in the harmonium--particularly how it works. This video answered all of my questions, and mainly my curiosity of how the harmonium maintains a note (I didn't realize it has two bellows--very cool). This video was very informative. 7:05 Witchcraft! How do they make that happen? I'd assumed the red end portions were solid, so the effect was stunning, like watching a master illusionist...
Love your explanation. I have the kolkotta style key-changing harmonium like the one you show on the the right side of the video. I find some keys make too much clicking sound while playing. Any remedy for this? Could I add some kind of felt os cushioning? Please make a video of doing that as I feel that it is a common problem.
