If you didnt know, in Japan they call others by first names of form of respect I think. This is also an AU and my video, so please dont start attacking me. No, they do not call others by first name in Japan as a form of respect. It's quite the opposite, actually. Even family members don't always simply call each other by their first/given names and instead add honorifics -san, -kun, -chan etc. Japanese people are very parculiar about their names in their culture. To call someone even by their surname/last name without a honorific can also be seen as an insult, but not as great as assuming you can call someone so familiarly as by their first name, worse still by their first name with no honorifics. In schools and businesses, it is very important, especially, though I don't think neither MHA nor BSD are the best example to show that, or even just anime/manga in general. Advice for the future, so don't take offense: many people who didn't read Stormbringer posted a lot of stuff that greatly misrepresents Chuuya or even Dazai in their content. Stormbringer is one of the most complex and complicated Light Novels Asagiri ever published and a great read, I'd warmly recommend it, but until you do read it, I suggest you be more careful about chosing the shorts/tiktoks you use for your videos, since, as I said, they can be greatly misleading. I'd also recommend not relying on the BSD Wikia page, since they never bothered to correct the first assumptions that Chuuya is a god vessel. Good luck in your future videos, though
