I've loved em since I was a teen. Everything about them is just perfect. Incredibly tight. The bass tone, the guitar tone, the arrangement, the groove. So heavy without being tiring and unapproachable. Heavy, heavy, heavy but actually enjoyable and fun to listen to.

Well I had the same feeling when I was kid watching Live in Texas from Linkin Park. Musically its not even close to what Page has done, but I saw those guys playing loud guitars and screaming wearing shirts and regular pants, kinda "hip hop" style and it set the tone for me. I mean, I love hardcore punk, or even death metal, but the visual does not fit my style. Im in it for the sound
I'm a huge Helmet fan! And love this song (and pretty much every other song they have). Liked this line up with Bello on bass (live). Looking forward to the new album and tour.

the chorus is insane in this track. I can't get over those chords, there is just something disturbing and genius about the chord progression in the chorus.
The best thing about helmet is they're music is so simple, heavy, melodic, and crushing but what is most appealing to me is instead of practicing on wimpy song's such as "smells like teen spirit" "smoke on the water" "walk this way" and other what I call "70s party girl music" (yuck) helmet has a very appealing sound to practice to with a 6 string guitar and high gain sound with drop d tuning just actually makes me want to play guitar and enjoy it

Aftertaste is really underated..just like Helmet but in a way that's good because it means they're not Everybodies band and that means a lot...those bands that everyone and their dog likes...after a while something is taken away....
To be honest, I prefer Size Matters. I have no idea why some people hate it. It feels like a continuation of Aftertaste and most songs have those awesome crunchy riffs and catchy as fuck choruses. Overall its an awesome album.
Probably the drumming and the production. There's good songs but people expect the more unique guitar/bass tones and drum sounds from their previous records.
