- With Balaton Park being announced as part of the 2025 MotoGP calendar I thought I'd give it a go and share my thoughts on the track.

Brand new track, opened in May last year. It was originally on the WSBK calendar this year but got cancelled due to "ongoing works". MotoGP was originally set to go to the Hungaroring next year, no idea why they decided on going to Balaton Park. In terms of series that have raced here, nothing special; TCR Europe, F4 CEZ, Carrera Cup, Ferrari Challenge, and F4 CEZ.
This version of the track seems very dangerous and not bike ready. I watched the Ferrari Challenge race here. It is primarly a car circuit and is new. Opened last year. There are plans to extend the run offs and some corners are gonna be completely changed. So yeah... this track will be very different when WSBK arrives first in July 2025. MotoGP comes a month later. It's an area like Misano and a tourist zone. And yeah F1 is not coming here. They are rebuilding the paddock of the Hungaroring as we speak. This track has not got FIA grade 1 certification for F1.
There won't be a new front tyre until 2026 now.
tbh i don't like this track, too narrow and not enough long straight for aero-era MotoGP. But since it's an anti-clockwise circuit, who cares lol.. Marc's going to love this track.
