I have this in the fawn and love it! To make it lye flat, put some slip in notebooks in the opening behind the zip pocket. It adds that little bit of weight to the cover, so when you open it stays flat, plus you can use the pull out slim notebooks to write additional information. Give it a try! Hope it helps 😊

I so appreciate this video you shared. You really voiced all my difficulties with wanting to set up an organizer and broke down the vague idea of what I was going for in a planner. So helpful.
I use a small passion planner for on the go and I add in the calorie counter for my grocery and what I eat. I totally get the messy functional planner.
I love how minimal yours is. I purchased a Kate Spade personal planner and just knew I was going to love using it but I got stuck. I really really love the month on 4 pages! The small monthly spreads have kept me from using it. This was helpful and has sparked some ideas. Thanks for sharing!
I’m thinking about getting a croc too! I relate with you so much in the decorating! Bc if I decorated a ton I’m afraid to keep writing and mess it up and then I feel like it’s just a pretty book and not something functional! Thank you for this great video!

Love this! I've started planning more minimally and my setup is similar to this, but different inserts. I'm loving it! Definitely super functional. (Of course, I still get my "artsy craft time" in by doing that stuff in my journal and memory planner.) Working great for me so far. Thanks for sharing!! Interesting. I also have personal Croc, but it lays flat from the start. I bought it from Ebay unused. For me it's one of the most important things, because usually I keep my planner opened on my table...
I have the same planner. It does lie flat the more you use it. X

I wish I had gotten the compact instead. It’s is about 0.6” vs 0.9” ring. Personal is not my main size so a compact would have been fine.
I've had this for a year it will lie flat. Same cloth and paper dash board at the front too. it gets bettrr with age!
I've had the deep brown one for a year - it will lay flat! Have a MUJI .038 in there too!
