Fantastic explanation I like this thankyou I will be following you. I studied fine arts for 3 months and loved it,unfortunately had to finish up my teacher was amazing, you sound like a great teacher thankyou Michael😊
Thank you very much for your encouragement James. Thank you for subscribing. T'm developing this channel for people just like you. I still have a long way to go but I have a very clear plan about how to help people get good at art. First tip: Keep drawing!
@michaelcoxontokyo thanks so much ,I do and will I've had a quick look at all your videos they are so well put together, looks like I am a fan 😀. It's just the best meditation ,my mistakes I laugh and just keep going I never have a bad day drawing, all. Of a sudden things just stick .it's the best 👌,
Thanks so much for this! You are so underrated for your very helpful videos and I hope your channel grows soon. The fact your voice is so calming makes me less angry when I make mistakes which helps with the growing of my artistic skill. I think the way you explain is honestly one of the best I've heard, thank you so much once again! 🫶
Thanks Julie for your very nice comment. It means so much to get feedback like yours. It's ok to get angry when you make mistakes you learn faster that way. I'll do my best to make videos that help you in your art
Its so nice hearing Australian voices in TH-cam. Thank you for your instructional videos, I do still struggle with proportions but I am getting better with it. I down loaded a number of Andrew Loomis books from the guttenburge project they're free and are very good I refer to them regularly. I'm a visual learn mostly so your videos have help and so has Andrew Loomis. Cheers from Tasmania!
Hi, Thank you for subscribing and for your comment. I have most of Andrew Loomis books they are excellent. I'd like to recommend a really good website I've put a link in the description of this video. It's James Gurney. His Blog is full of outstanding info. Cheers from Tokyo. I Often watch Gardening Australia the Tasmanian presenter, Molly is great. Ah I'm feeling homesick.
@@michaelcoxontokyo oh yes I like James gurney I've watched his videos too. Thank you for a reply, I'm sorry if my message made you feel home sick, I like our Tasmanian garden presenter also the ABC gardening is just a really good all rounder program. What I miss from the mainland is the magpie call, there is no magpies in my part of Tassy, but I do have friendly Tasmanian black currawongs. Stay well, happy and safe. Cheers from Tassy!
No, that's ok It's nice to feel a bit homesick sometimes. It reminds me of all the great things about Australia. I spent years studying the Australian impressionists. They are truly wonderful painters the way they captured the Australian landscape is perfect. Didn't know that about magpies. Cheers.@@howlingwind1937
@@michaelcoxontokyo that's good then, you must like where you're living, have you lived in Tokyo for a long time? When I was younger I found this artist (not living) called Salle Hermen I can't remember if I've spelt it right, anyway, he came to Australia from Spain and loved Australia, I think I'm remember correctly, and did a lot of paintings of outback towns and also around the inner suburbs of Sydney like Newtown and Redfern. He's not really known of that well, but I really like the expressive way he has captured the characters and the ambience of the places that were his muse, he might be of interest, I've not really seen anything similar to his style, but you can find him if you google him. Cheers from Tassy!
I really love how you spoke so soft and just sweet, I loved this video soooo much! Thank you for making such a great video! 👍👍Keep up the great work!!!! You also make videos quite alot I really just enjoy then thanks!! 😁👍
Hi Ayaan thank you for subscribing and writing this comment. I will be making many videos on all ways to improve your art. I will be focussing on anatomy so you have come to the right place.
Sorry for he late reply Ayaan. Thank you for your comment. Learning anatomy is a very good decision. I will be making many videos about anatomy and the many techniques of figure drawing. I will do my best to help you.You can start now by tuning up your observation skills by looking at all of your friends as well as just people in the street Try to become super observant of how they move their proportions. This will help train your artist's eye before you even pick up a pencil.Good luck on your journey. Michael
