I think you're discussing an interesting topic and have some good points, and I agree with your point that love is a two-way street. However, I believe that love is a nuanced and extremely personal topic, and I have a few points to make myself; you don't have to agree with them.
I think that while it is good to have faith in your ability to love, for one thing it is fickle, just like any human emotion, and ultimately runs second fiddle to logic. I personally believe that love is a form is self-delusion; namely, the act of loving requires you to trick yourself into ignoring or otherwise dismissing unpleasant parts of a person's being, habits, tendencies, beliefs. There is this experiment that proves my point that if you are aroused, and a fly flies into your drink, you would drink that drink without any concern of the fly in your drink. Love requires you to delude yourself, to trick yourself into thinking a person is perfect and/or otherwise destined to be with you, when the reality is, far too often for many people including myself, is simply not the case. Love, as an emotion, is irrational and as a result, flawed.
And briefly addressing your claim in your capacity to love - women or this channel or otherwise - I simply do not believe that you are going to love someone or something one hundred percent of the time, all the time. Human error is complex and often has to do with our ingrained beliefs and is thus inseparable from the human condition; to quote Einstein, a major problem caused by a mind simply cannot be solved using that same mind. If problems arise, we as human beings often aren't aware we are making those mistakes, and usually require someone else to point them out for them.
I know I painted a grim picture of love, but nowhere in my articulated points did I mention that love, as an irrational and flawed emotion, is necessarily a bad thing. Love is necessary for reproduction and general motivation to live life, and life itself, I would argue, is an irrational state of being. Why do we live? We are we here? Those questions I feel are best answered by the novel Huo Zhe / To Live, and the main takeaway is this: "life inherently has no meaning; it is the actions of human beings and those that live and love, that ultimately give life purpose."
I appreciate you, and I hope to go alongside you with the journey that is life.
