(32) Satin enamel Flower dip

- I want to try if satin enamel makes some differnt effects in flower dips too. I think that I get little more whispery look...I will deffenetley try this again with puddles. ;)
Colours:
- titanium white mixed 1:1 with satin enamel
- prussian blue
- coline blue
- magenta
- sap green
- phytalo green
All my paints are mixed 1:1 with acrylic primer.

I can't believe I missed this video. I've been watching you for 3 years or more .I love the results of this technique. Fiona love the beautiful results. 😍
Try adding one part enamel paint and one part of your regular white paint and then one part of your medium together then add just a little water to thin it like you normally do. I'll bet you might get more of a cloudy affect flower. I'm not sure if you did that or not I listened very carefully but wasn't too sure. But either way this turned out absolutely gorgeous and I really love your experiments so keep them coming with the flowers. Thank you very much for sharing this.
Oh and let me know if you get any cracks after it's dry because I'm experimenting with other colors also besides the white enamel.
Yes, I will show results in my next video. I mixed 1 part enamel 1 part t.white and 1 part medium... Maybe it doesn't work with my medium, or maybe my Slovenian brand enamel doesn't work at all. I will keep on trying and I will see. 😁😎😘
I like the soft look of these paintings. There aren't exactly flowers but they are so delicate looking. Not a fail in the bunch.
I also think that through my experiments you may not get the Cloudy effect doing it with a dip. I think pouring all the paints together and then spreading them and tilting them so the paints mix and react together causes the cloud effect. But what you're doing is always worth a try. It helps all of us to know through your experiments. Thank you again

Fiona, you start with colours that look like a tangle of string and end up with two lovely painting. They are lovely even if they didn’t give you the effect you were hoping for.

Don't know if you have to use Liquitex pouring medium as well but Mely D uses it...
No I didn't. I know that she does, but I didn't have it, so I want to try with my medium. 😉😘
Beautiful!! Dips looks so fun! I usually use resin so I’m just starting with acrylics this is definitely something I’m going to try soon!!

maybe less white on the background will show the colors more and bring out the flower more. it looks like it is causing the color to smear too much,

Hi Fiona...the cloud effects happen by mixing half enamel and half of your other white together..☺
I mixed them so, but with my pouring medium. I will try this again with some other medium maybe. 😁🌹
