I agree with you 100%! I need a cozy murder mystery every month - 'course depending on how fast I read. If am reading any other genre, I find myself looking thru my collection for a murder mystery I haven't read yet 😅
I recommend The Shady Hollow murder mystery series

    Favorite Christie's for me include:
    Cards on The Table
The Man in The Brown Suit
    And Then There Were None
Five Little Pigs....Oh who am I kidding, I love every single book I've ever read by her! (I've only ready about 30).
I too very much enjoyed every bit of the Sherlock Holmes stories!

I totaly love Agatha Chistie. I buy them in bulk. Lol. What do you think about the modern editions. I hear the compliment of someones white teeth got cut. I agree with the fact that the original title of and then there were none was changed, but changeing a compliment? Is that going a bit far? What do you think?
    Thanks for the other recommendations.

Books getting updated text has gone on since books have been published. Its something that is now becoming more spoken about but has happened for generations. I agree something like a compliment didn't need to be changed. Overall, I like the modern editions, though I haven't read the original to compare it to.
      Thank you 😊

I’m a new subscriber and working my way through Agatha Christie. I also just started my first Sherlock Holmes book, The Hound of the Baskervilles. I really like The Thursday Murder Club mysteries. And I recommend The Postscript Murders by Elly Griffith if you liked Thursday Murder Club. It’s book two of a series but my favorite of the three and I think it’s fine as a stand alone. But there’s a group of characters of different ages and situations that get together to solve a murder. I really wish Griffiths would do more with that group of characters. She also has a series with Ruth Galloway that’s very cozy and loads of books which should be read in order. Thanks for the recommendations! There are several new to me and they sound interesting. I read a variety of books especially books written by British women from the 1930’s - early 60’s, authors are new to me, and I’m really enjoying them. Most are cozy though not necessarily mysteries.

@@ReadingNymph I love D. E. Stevenson there are many to choose from, but some favorites for me so far are The Four Graces, The Young Clementina, The House on the Cliff). Also Molly Clavering (try Dear Hugo [mostly in form of letters] or Near Neighbors) Elizabeth Fair (Bramton Wick or Seaview House). Oh and Elizabeth Goudge, I’ve only read The Scent of Water but it was lovely. If you like Miss Marple, try Patricia Wentworth’s Miss Silver series. I’ve heard people say DON’T start with the first which is The Grey Mask, not as good or much Miss Silver. The Chinese Shawl is a good one to try. I hope you enjoy them if you try. For me, they’re the perfect cozy retreat, kind people, small villages, heart warming at times. (Not the mysteries so much but the others 😉).
