Flew from Chicago to Dallas to watch the MINY vs DSK match last Sunday. It was almost sold out and the atmosphere was insane for a game being played in the states. I sat next to a 67 year old retired white woman born and grew up in Dallas, she was so knowledgeable of the game and brought 3 of her friends with her. We kept chatting back and forth and soon found out she started following up the game in 2018 and she is moderator on TH-cam for the European cricket league. Man it was so cool to see so many local Americans at the game, I genuinely think the MLC will be big one day. I am hoping that we get a local team here in Chicago. I might actually go to the gym and practice out some work in and who knows maybe I can make the minor league team and go on from there. I am a left arm swing bowler and a middle order bat. It was so cool watching Trent boult do his thing in person. MLC we need a Chicago team!
Chicago is going to get a MLC team from 2026 and I think Chicago is also getting a 20k cricket stadium too which is passed from the authorities last year itself.
Great podcast🎉❤ Its really good to hear Jimmy and I think he genuinely likes cricket. But according to me cricket will be more difficult for the masses to pick up due to its similarity with baseball, which wasn't the case with soccer when it was on its rise in Us. Would love to see more of Jimmy on the channel.
