beautiful! Great pleasure to listen to, great rendition of this lovely piece of Giuliani. Accustic sound absolutely perfect! Bravo to all of you, and especially to the guitar soloist! Thank you.
Prior to this marvelous concerto for guitar no one had written a classical guitar concerto for the instrument. The Vivaldi D major was written for lute. Mauro Giuliani may not be a household name but his compositions for guitar are second to none and are a large part of the repertoire for this glorious instrument. Nathaniel Hill and company play this great work with warmth, verve and superb musicianship.
Ferdinando Carulli, who was born 11 years earlier than Mauro Giuliani, might have written classical guitar concertos a little earlier than Mauro Giuliani. Delightful concertos but not played as much as Giuliani's concertos.
@@reynaldo121I’ve played his A major concerto, it’s actually a very good starter if you don’t want to do Vivaldi and a great prep for Giuliani, however Giuliani is much much harder
Lovely guitar sounds and the backing instrumentalists also did a fine job. One doesn't hear Guiliani very often these days, which is a pity as his compositions are so fine. The recording was very well done: clear and open with a good ration of the fullness that makes for a much better sound than the overly lean examples that are too often heard, so my congrats to the recording engineer too.
Thank you for the kind words! I just used the IMSLP score, should have a strings version. Careful because if you take the cut in mvt 1 like me, it isn’t in the string part. You’ll have to count and figure it out. I remember it’s a hassle
I am wondering about the make and year of the guitar because ive been struggling for a number of years now to find a good one thya works for me, please and thank you, and Bravo !
Looking back I’d probably do what Giuliani wrote, or maybe closer to, but I found improvising on the spot to be more enjoyable especially since this was the last thing on the recital.
Superb performance! Bravo to the entire ensemble!
If I didn't see it for myself that you young men are still in high school I would swear that you were professional musicians! Bravissimo!!!
Thank you haha! We are College students however so not quite Highschool.
The violist is not a man
@@1tbo that too 😂 and she’s also a professional with the Cleveland Orchestra
One of my favorite guitar concertos, so beautifully played.
Wow !! Lovely. Full of fire and passion, and a great sound for such a small retinue of performers. Wonderful...
I was not expecting something THAT amazing. Trully speachless. This is better than even some PRO performances.

One of my favourites. Beautiful.
Guitare parfaite aucun bruit parasite
Bravo
Extraordinary! What talent!
Whoever recorded this is a GENIUS and clearly an AMAZING GUITARIST
Yeh but why is the camera angle so bad
Impresionante!
Marvellous touch of the guitar soloist. Bravo, bravissimo 👏 👏🌷🌷
Prachtige uitvoering ! Mijn felicitaties !

@@reynaldo121 Thank you Reynaldo. I've played several of his works for violin and guitar but haven't heard any of his works with orchestra.

Before Giuliani, there were guitar concertos by B.Vidal, Charles Doisy, Lhoyer, and Carulli.
Beautiful composition, by a not so very well known composer, played by a group of young people... extraordinarily charming!
Higly level techinic, the acoustics suround superb, a great plesure listening to the music you do!...Bravo!
Thank you
Parabéns! Excelente sonoridade .
Comfort of this inspiritual performance is off the charts
Liebe Freunde, ich bin begeistert und wünsche Euch viel Freude und Erfolg!!!

I hope I’m this good at guitar one day😆😭 this was such an amazing performance and I’d love to do what you do🥹
Hermosa composición y excelente ejecución de este virtuoso de la guitarra

Un baume pour nos oreilles.
Belissimo!!!
Beautiful !!!
Brilliant performance , a true artist indeed thank you !
My favorite video.
Great effort. Lovely tone and the balance with the quartet is just right. Excellent cadenza too. Stands up to the JW I bought 50 years ago!
Bravo🙏 thank you so much❤!!!
205 views what a shame this was superb
Well looks a little better now
Excelente ejecucion de una obra tan bonita como exigente! Felicitaciones!
A great piece beautifully played!

Me gusto mucho. El cuarteto de cuerdas tambien es muy bueno. 👍🏼
I think so too :) they are great
Great job 👌👌
Awesome job once again!

I can't take too much credit since they are the school's mic's but I always appreciate recognition for the back of house, thank you!
It is well articulated and heartwarming performance. I am really touched ^^
Could I have sheet music for Ensemble except for guitar? Thanks so much~
Thank you for the kind words!

Amazing. Wish they had given you a microphone.
I could have had one, but in the hall it was actually fine. This was my Junior recital and I really did not want to be mic’d
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What is that on the floor that the musicians are stepping on?
@@demolicionesdemexico it’s a foot pedal for changing the music. Many of us were performing with IPads
@@nathanielhill7332 oh OK, great performance👍👏👏
@@demolicionesdemexico thank you
What kind of guitar/maker is that please?
And year ?
I don’t see a microphone on the guitar. How are you mixed up?
I wasn’t. This was an Unmic’d performance which maybe made some things harder, but I think it’s more affective in the end.
Hola!!! Hermosa obra! Pero creo las cadencias de Giuliani son perfectas...en mi opinión no le hace falta ninguna nota agregada.
Looking back I’d probably do what he wrote. These were improvised on the spot to try and add some fun.
Incrível a qualidade do som que o violonista tira do violão.
Thank you 😊

Muy buena interpretación... pero las cadenzas bajan el nivel.

i mean they’re ok
Bro forgot he’s first violin
Beethoven, Hummel, Kalkbrenner, Chopin... they all tried to copycat this concerto....
1. Get a haircut 2. Listen to Pepe Romeros’ rendition 3. Practice 20-25 years! 4. Try again
@@dalong0 Do I fake it like Pepe does?
