AEROFOAM MB 339 CONVERSION FROM EDF TO XICOY X-45

The AF modell EDF has been a solid performer but had short flight times. So i put a X-45 in it and it became what it was suposed to be. Cant wait to get out and fly it again

Thanks! I really love this modell moore and moore. Weight is now 6,8 kg fully loaded ( wet ) so i saved 400g on takeoff weight. I used to fly it with 2x5000 HRB 50c the takeoff weight was 7,2kg before

I got mine, I ordered form Banana Hobby on Friday and it was delivered the next day. SHipping was free! (I live within 100km of Banana Hobby, but still that is awesome service). It looks like a 51cm pipe will be long enough.
Do you use one battery for the entire airplane? I saw somewhere that the airplane was set up for a 3s battery for the servos and lights. I like to useo ne battery with the X45.

Congrats my friend 😀 Banana hobby has great costumer service very easy to comunicate with. I use two 2200mah 3s batteries for the airplane and one 1800mah 2s for the turbine. I also used a 950ml tank from Dubro and got it right on the CG. I used the long pipe so could mount the turbine moore to the front. Almost all the way to the tank and close to the CG. I used the big 3s batteries in the for for weight. I think maybee the new models only have one outlet for the BEC. Maybee i should make a video on how i converted it?

It appears you have a HAB kit in it. What length does the pipe need to be? I have a spare HAB pipe from a Rebel Hot

Hey great flight, looks like a really nice flyer! Do you think its worth the additional $400 for the turbine version or was it easy to convert yourself and save a bit of $?

Thanks buddy 😀 and no! I dont think its worth the 400 extra for the turbine ready version at all. I have no idea why it is more expensive than the EDF version becouse the EDF settupp must way moore expensive than the turbine parts. And the UAT in the PNP turbine version i would never use. The best option would a ARF+ version without anything exept gear and servos. It is super easy to convert by the way 😀
