      He'll be protected. It was in the Belgian government's interest that Prime Minister Lumumba be eliminated. He was never going to be anyone's puppet stooge, and they knew that.
      The only way to get a measure of justice is when the Congo can break free from imperialism. The political sons and daughters of Lumumba will bring liberation to the Congo.

    Congo is the heart of Africa and the west know that. Afrca will never realize it's full economic potential without this vast country. They have always made this country ungovernable so that the resources are plundered . They should bring back development resources and not a tooth. At least they should finance one rail or road to accompany the tooth , otherwise they can keep it till they are ready.

      East Africa is the heart but the West is the face. Majority of the West countries gave up part of themselves after being colonized where as the East countries still have their original languages and tribes. No French or Portuguese is spoken or non of that.

    The killing of Lumumba was one evil thing. But the greater evil was the man the United States, Belgium and France put into power.

    When you are normal person and kill you go to prison. When you work for the government, you are promoted.
    Etienne Davignon should be in prison, and the family of Lumumba should get justice and financial reperations from Belgium(becouse USA was not fast enough to kill him). Kongo, which was devastated by it, should be helped now by USA and Belgium, not further exploited as it is happening now - cobalt mining for example.
