It's part Half-Life part Eve Online machinima, made almost a decade ago before tools like Source Filmmaker.
The third movie was actually shown in a cinema at one time.
I love that series too, but the first 2 are very outdated in terms of resolution and acting, and he has most likely never played the MMO so I doubt he would have any idea about what is going on.

Yo Kyle 9:27 is reference to Bane’s special move in Injustice 2 as StBlackSt perfectly copied it. They launch em up in the air get in 2 punches a knee to the head and they one giant slam into the ground
I just realised the Soldier's mid-air takedown is the same animation as Injustice 2's Bane's special move.(th-cam.com/video/pwdi30PRAtQ/w-d-xo.html)
Same as a previous video's Scout's (excessive) knife and gun beatdown was the same animation as Deadshot's special from the same game. (th-cam.com/video/46kjnp8O1aw/w-d-xo.html)
It's still impressive to animate, though.
