The film Bound, a Chicago story, mirrors many issues and situations that black youth face in Chicago. Such issues include unemployment, poverty, depression, teen pregnancy, gang violence, and death. As an alleviation to these issues, the film introduces multiple artistic opportunities as a source to allow youth growth in artistry and as an effective and creative source of representation. Furthermore, the film professes that building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in a manner of not being conformed to the world but being transformed by the renewing of one's mind could truly solve many of the issues black youth face in Chicago.
