Great interior and really sturdy truck. My cousin’s is almost twenty years old and has never broken down.

@HM Fitness give me a break Toyota has recalls just like the big 3 does and have no technology onboard. This reliability tout is cult like following to pay 65 grand for truck with tech options from 2007! insane

    • @arckanum332

HM Fitness So true... I’d rather have reliability than tech that’s going to have electrical problems later on. Toyota does simple because simple is more reliable overall

You're absolutely right... their hood venting should be functional esp at that price... I respect Toyota... but they have this "satisfactory status". I hope one day they can really flex and show us what they can really do.

It’s pretty broken. Toyota is great on endearing its products to consumers but the comfort, fit, and feel from a favorite pair of jeans that an old jeep, Chevy pickup, B210, bmw; whatever.... just missing in any Toyota product. Throw some wood grain and a couple badges? Still just a Toyota profit center imho

I am a past 1794 owner. The package itself includes a lot of premium features at a reasonable price compared to other brands. The interior is nice to look at, but the seats are rock hard and the wood is all plastic. The fuel mpg was not good, but the truck was reliable. The biggest thing against it now is the length of time since it received a new design.

I just bought a 2020 Tundra and found out the seats are rock hard, also disappointed about several other things. when i use the remote start the engine shuts off when you open the door, totally stupid. and when I shut the truck off the radio turns off to make matters worst turning the accessories on takes 30 seconds and a nag screen - which i can't get rid of to get back to my music.

Pretty much every other Toyota vehicle has got a new engine except Tacoma, Forerunner and this thundra. I think they should really being in some engines for these vehicles with better interior and much better fuel economy.

Where’s the trailer brake control tired of that as an option should be standard. 53k better price than other leading trims, but can’t stand the extra long cab 5 foot beds on pickups are useless I wouldn’t pay for any brand with a 5 foot bed, my opinion. Toyota builds a great rig no doubts about that I’d have to really build my own truck RAM has the best options bar none in today’s market for that, however I would consider a Toyota the 5.7 is a good engine the HEMI has valve train issues you’d think a major auto manufacturer would have addressed this. I read an article about Toyota putting Diesel engines in the Tacoma, and Tundra however haven’t heard more now I’d buy that one.

Too many little things that would need to be changed, and with the price of the truck already, it’s not worth it. If you could get a Platinum with the TRD off road package, then maybe. Don’t understand why it’s offered on the other trims (including 1794) but not Platinum. I’m not normally a fan of black interiors but it at least blends with all the aluminum pieces better. And all of the exterior pieces are color match painted.

@@steven6437 Yup, I agree. Same goes for the 4Runner ... Toyota builds some of the most reliable trucks on the road, it's a bit of a shame they can't figure out how to make the MPG a bit better. Keep the 5.7 as it is, just give it an 8spd even to keep up with the competition. You'll benefit from better MPG and the extra gears will help put the torque down off the line.

Haha western themed Toyota. That's like Ford putting out a Hakone edition Mustang, it's just... weird. I like the V8 and the interior, but not giving that nice leather for the door panel armrests is a glaring omission. Only reason the tundra still sells is the brand and the fake reliability rep this truck has. It has just as many problems as the rest. Honestly its clunky, its old, and my 2008 jeep grand cherokee has a better layed out interior which was designed for the 05 model year. Also toyota's obsession with fake hood scoops just kills the look of every vehicle (especially the double hood scoop on the trd pro). The tundra redesign can't come fast enough, I hope they finally get it right.
And for those who argue "having a truck isn't about luxury its about utility and durability" which is a perfectly fine arguement, Ford and Ram offer way more in their work truck trims than any of the others. Nissan still has a great deal on the titan, which is a wildly under rated truck, and the GM twins offer the best base infotainment system. Toyota only has one "advantage" and its the rear window, and to me thats just a gimmick. And that million mile tundra was on the 4.7 v8 that was a much more reliable engine, the 5.7 is just like the rest.

    • @hybridsnowleopard
      @hybridsnowleopard 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes. I will give you credit for mentioning the 4.7 L V8. The 5.7 L V8 have yet to be proven hitting 1 million mile without an issue.
Even the 4.7 liter V8 that supposedly hit 1 million miles with no issue is not true like what most people believed. Yes, the engine did in fact lasted 1 million miles without no major works done to it, but that truck did have major repairs on the transmission and other parts of the vehicle.
This is where most people assume that the tundra will make it to 1 million mile no problem with little repair which is not true.
Keep in mind that these vehicles that hit 1 million miles are usually not your average Joe vehicle, they are usually owned by a company who can afford to keep repairing the vehicle to keep it on the road.

If you are buying a Tundra for reliability, just buy the truck chassis with engine and transmission. Yes they are reliable and that is all is important. A 2007 unchanged model should not cost 50k. And the days of keeping vehicle for more than 20 years just does not exist.

Great room, not too cushy of a ride (still feels like a truck), great visibility, and just nice enough "luxury" interior so it isn't over the top so that I can take it out for a night on the town or down to the river to catch some catfish. I love it. The whole execution is "tasteful" and unpretentious.

The law firm of Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating certain Toyota models with the 5.7L V8 engine for Camshaft Tower leakage. Affected are the 2010-2018 models of the Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, Sienna, Land Cruiser, and Lexus LX570. Customers report that a camshaft tower repair includes service or replacement of the oil filter, the oil pan drain plug gasket, the formed in place gasket oil pan, and the camshaft bearing gasket.
