@@anidiot6396 i became an ASM for our current play and although it’s a vignette play so everyone is lowkey equal, me and my scene partner have the most scenes in the play. so good results i think :) the community theatre audition also went really well, but i had to drop out because i have a comp on their show day
i'm currently just boring old ensemble in the school production but i have a choir and orchestra concert tonight and production rehearsals tomorrow so i'll update if it works!

the concert went rlly well even though i missed the warmup but during rehearsal I WAS SO GOOD OMG the singing was easy and my acting felt so naturalll TYSM and i did some dance today for fun and omg i literally mastered the dance break that i've been struggling on for months TYSMMMM THESE ARE THE BEST RESULTS I'VE EVER GOTTEN
So my college is doing Charlie and the chocolate factory the musical this year as the second year production! Now I’m a 1st year and was told we wouldn’t get any of the main parts we would just play ensemble members. HOWEVER our singing teacher sat us down and said she would be working on audition songs with us next week because they are going to cast understudy’s but also our head of performing arts says she wants the best of the best so if a 1st year does it better than a second year she would low-key cast them (for any role apart from Wonka and Charlie) I’m super excited now and think I want to audition for Violet Beauregarde! We don’t know if they’re going to make the auditions self tapes or in person yet so I’ll keep you updated!

another update!! my audition was today and i ended up going for tanya! the judges were very impressed and actually complimented me so much it was wild. as i was walking out they pulled me back in the room to sing for donna and complimented my abilities again! callbacks are tomorrow! expect another update soon!
callback update: callbacks were posted and i didn't get one, BUT the character i auditioned for wasn't posted for callbacks so i think there's a chance i got tanya! i'll post when the castlist comes out!

auditions are tmr so imma try to see if i can remember to update how they went and if i got a callback!! theres a lot of ppl auditioning apparently but i think ill get a role. the official cast list is announced on the last day of school before winter break so if i get ensemble i’ll know then tho. but im literally on the way back from singing lessons so hopefully it all pays off :)

Ok this is weird: I used to sing a LOT and find so much more joy in it. I was always a singer first actor second.

ok for singing i think i did pretty good. like i feel like i was on the same singing level as most people who auditioned but i think my voice got a lil quieter at the end. i think. or maybe it was just the piano (hopefully 😍). but lemme tell u one of the ppl in my group is not gonna get shit i actually feel bad he thought he ate but at least he tried to swallow ykwim. theres this other girl who also sung the same song as me who was right after me. ok so this girl i think lowkey hated me last year a lil but the last time we talked like she answered a question for me and it was all chill. anyways before the dance part she was like does anyone have a hairtie and i was like ya so i gave her mine and she was like can i keep it and i was like ya sure. so ya ig we interacted a tiny bit after that just to get in order for auditions but ANYWAYSSS: i think she did pretty good yk like prob the same level as me but she is in chior and im not so yk there that ig. but the director was like “good job (her name)” so im just like oop yk like was i not good but nah thats bs ik i ate that up yk like maybe me and a lotta other ppl lowkey sounded the same but whatever yk. anyways the last girl in the group is a senior snd she was a lead last year so idk if she’ll get a lead part this year or not. grease has pretty limited roles ykwim so she might get one of the main ones but theres other rly talented ppl that could get the other ones as well yk. but anyways ykw it doesnt matter we wouldnt know for like idk a week i think so ya anyways imma listen so these ppl make me be a lead yk even frenchy ykwim (bc she doesnt rly sing yk) and also to get abs and shit yk lol
