Oh my goodness! You do basically what I do, except you, kick it up a notch with that technology piece, and you add in writing it on a year-long perpetual calendar. I have not done that, so that might be something I had to my own routine! Thank you for sharing.
Yes! Love these videos! Thanks for the inspiration! I’ve been planning monthly/every 2-3 months and I’m excited to do it for the whole year! Loving the idea of doing it once and being done. 🎉🎉
I love this!!! You kind of got lost in my list of subscription channel but I found you again and can't wait to watch the rest of your vids regarding meal planning!!!
As the main person who cooks in my house (I live with my two baby sisters), I find your videos so helpful in terms of creating a meal plan that I and my sisters can follow (though as my sisters are in their late teens/early twenties, it tends to fall on me lol).
Funny you should ask this 😅 I've been trying to figure out a good way to re-organize things now that my daughter is in swim team 4 nights a week. I'm hoping to do an updated video soon once I get it sorted 😀
New here! Thanks for so many great ideas! I am approaching my year using the 12 week year so this is a great way for me to plan my meals too! We really like Zucchini lasagna ans have adapted a recipe from Farmhouse on Boone!
It might take a lot of effort up front but I feel like combing this with a recipe manager like Paprika would make it an even more seamless process. Quickly get your shopping list each week and such.
@@kassyeichele The more I learn about what it can do the more helpful it becomes. You could easily use "Menus" in it to set up your rotations and plan those out through the years quickly and such!
hi!! i need to plan BOTH dinner and lunch which are hot cooked meals in my country and i also have picky eaters so what my daughter eats my son won't so i need to double the recipes each time. basically that means that i'm cooking 3-4 DIFFERENT meals A DAY and i'm having really hard time with meal planning. what's your view on that? any idea??? it would be also cool to see your excel spreadsheet and how you organized/categorized that....
Hi Eva! Thank you for your comment, you gave me a great idea for a video since I think a lot of people have this same struggle. Let me know if there are any other particulars that you would like me to cover in the video (diet restrictions for your family, etc.) and I'll try to help you out! I'll have the video out this week or next :)
What is the soup that you said tasted like Thanksgiving in a soup… and which recipe book is that from. Do you give out your childhood chili and cornbread recipe. I’d love that recipe if you are willing to share. I’m going to watch this again and try to figure out your meals… and no, I have no idea what haystacks are!! How did I get to be 67.5 and not know this. 😅 I did watch your one year planning a year ago or whenever you first did that and forgot to keep following you. I’m WFPB but I don’t use oil and I’m thinking the Thrive cookbooks use oil. I’m going to see if I can find these cookbooks and then decide. I love finding new cookbooks from people that give such high reviews!!! I am very interested in attempting to plan my meals for the year. I have so many questions about your meal planning process. I’ll go through your other meal planning videos and see if I can understand your process a little better. Thank you.
Hey There! Thanks for the comment! The soup I was talking about is in this cookbook: amzn.to/3CuEht5 Haystacks are basically a layered taco salad. I make them by crunching chips on the plate, adding a layer of beans, sometimes we put a layer of rice or quinoa, then a layer of lettuce, any other veggies we want, then we put salsa and dressings on the top. (I don't know why we make it like that though because as soon as we sit down to eat it we mix it up 😂) It's an easy lunch or dinner that is a hit for everyone in our family! Yes, the revive cookbooks use oil, but he doesn't use a large amount, so I would think you could leave it out and use water to saute (maybe, I use the oil so I'm not positive!) I would be happy to share the casserole recipe, but I need to look into the rules about sharing recipes that I didn't write on the internet. But here is the cookbook that it comes from: amzn.to/3Z6DJmS If you want the whole Meal Planning Process, here is a link to my Easily Plan Your Meals Series: th-cam.com/video/kkx0LF5TRGE/w-d-xo.html
@@kassyeichele thank you so much!!! I love your HAYSTACK meal!!! I’m definitely going to be trying this!! Where in the world have I been. I watched a couple of your meal planning and I’m very intrigued… I need to understand your rotation better. Anyway, thank you and I’d sure be interested in more meal planning videos from you. I see you have a course coming up. I probably can’t afford to take it, but I really like your planning. Thanks again.
Haha, I am too! He threw the idea out there (before he decided the list should be a secret 😂), but then he quickly realized that we would need about 4 boxes of cereal for a meal and he quickly nixed the idea because cereal is so expensive now!

Roasted vegetable lasagna. We loved it when we were plant based.

I'm so glad it helps! It's a lot of work being the one doing all of the meal planning so I'm all about anything that makes it easier!
Most likely 3 years 🎉 would make a tradition for me
I think so too :)
This is a great video. How is the menu plan going? Did you had to do any changes? Thank you for your work here. It is appreciated. ☺

I consider it a tradition once we've done something twice, because when that has happened it ends up being the thing we do every ear.
