Oh one of my favourites from the "old" ones...great choice. I thought you would show them Sertab Erener. Thanks for the great videos and lovely reactions. Greetings from Germany....
The Performance is also in English, because, this is the performance, AFTER they won. The original Live Performance is in Swedish only. The free choice of language in the competion, was first introduced in 1999, along with the abolishment of the Live Symphony Orchestra
Not first introduced, it was re-introduced, it has gone back and forth, several times. 1956-1965 Free choice of language. (Everyone sang in their national language anyway, except Sweden who chose to sing in English in 1965, so then they made the rule) 1966-1972 Forced to sing in national languages. 1973-1976 Free choice of language 1977-1999 Forced to sing in national languages. 1999-now Free choice of language
The translated English refrain feels a bit cooler than the original lyrics are in Swedish… 😂 My translation: Diggi loo diggi ley Everybody’s looking at me When I’m dancing around in the streets And the whole world smiled Diggi loo diggi ley, a sudden downpour* You can hardly believe your eyes Oh, I almost start soaring In my golden shoes (”Diggi loo diggi ley” are just made up words) *(or ”the clouds dissipated” - not sure what they’re reffering to)
Actually they did… they reintroduced the rule in 77… but this was the winning performance where they added the English lyrics… in the contest they sang in Swedish only..
As usual, you haven't made any research prior making your video. You would have known that these stuffy people clapping at the end were actually the Heirs to the Throne of Luxembourg and some foreign ambassadors, so, by definition, they had to show some restraint. Nothing to laugh about, then.
"Older one from early 2000s". Seriously?! the 2000s are by no means "old", they were very recent. The 2010s and up until now were a mostly a complete waste musically.
This is the perfomance after they won so that's why they also singing in English😄
He doesn't know. In fact, he doesn't know much. He answer that to any questions : "I don't know!"

These girls are so cute! I really could see them becoming hardcore eurofans!
This performance was after they won. They would sing the encore performance (partially) in English.
These two could react to the entire shows like Mike and laurel, I love them
1:21 RIP Curt-Eric Holmqvist. He passed away recently, on July 20th, 2021.
Was it the Rona or did something else take him too young?
@@EmoBearRights It was cancer, leukemia.
Still very sad - RIP in your golden shoes.
@@EmoBearRights Thanks for your sympathy, but he was not the author of this song, he was the orchestra conductor of all songs

I was so in love with them lol....and I loved that song. ♥️
Great choice of song. And love your two friends. They are real keepers 🙂
I love the winning song from Luxembourg 1965
I know it's cliche but blow their minds with ABBA or Celine XD
Winning songs from the 80s just hits different! 💖💖 My favourite ESC decade
Looooove this song! And I could watch those two lovely ladies all day. Can't wait for Finland next! 😍

I think at this point they are ready for some ESC Legends😎
I'm gonna hum the song all day, thanks Alex 😠😂
R.I.P Torgny Söderberg -the composer!
Lordi coming our way... Are they @alexandrumic hahaha 😅😂
My big favourite is the New Seekers : Beg, steal or borrow from 1972
The translated English refrain feels a bit cooler than the original lyrics are in Swedish… 😂 My translation:
Diggi loo diggi ley

And the whole world smiled
Diggi loo diggi ley, a sudden downpour*

Again a joy to watch, getting thoroughly sucked into Eurovision fantom those 2.
On to Lordi...Oh my Lordi! 😈
The lyrics was actually first written in English so it was well rehearsed
My favorite song of Eurovision
No they didn't have to sing in their native language at the time. Waterloo (ABBA) was before this
Actually they did… they reintroduced the rule in 77… but this was the winning performance where they added the English lyrics… in the contest they sang in Swedish only..
@@alexandrumic ah that I didn't know. In any case if they want more ding-a-doos, why not ding-a-dong (NL) ?
congrats to 10k
Catchy
Please, do Celine next!

I think Latvia 2002, Estonia 2001, Yugoslavia 1989, Germany 2010, Russia 2008, Azerbaijan 2011 and Sweden 1999 are worse.
