Given the health context, special organisation was required to respect the barrier gestures, 1.5m between truffle growers and buyers, behind barriers. The season has barely started, and as Alain Ambialet, president of the Lalbenque Truffle Growers' Union, says, "there are truffles, but 70% of sales are usually made with the catering trade, so we have to communicate with the general public to get them to the markets".
