I just bought one of these today 2nd hand (20 April 2024). It had almost full inks and about 7 spare cartidges. Cost me £200. Literally drove it offroad to get it home as the seller lived in the countryside. It hadnt been used in 1.5years apparently. I didnt take any sort of measures to keep it level. I carried it myself. Got home, turned it on - ran one cleaning cycle. It printed a perfect nozzle pattern and I've been printing with it all day with no problems.
I ordered one and it was shipped to me with no ink cartridges. I get my ink tomorrow. Hopefully I can just a cleaning cycle and it work
There's a guy here on youtube who drug a PRO 1000 up a mountain in a wagon to take and print a photo on location... The printer was fine. My buddy takes his to tattoo conventions all around the country mounted to a rolling cart that he wheels in and out of his van. I don't think they are as fragile as you think.
Another Jose video! For anyone in the comments that has done this before what are your thoughts on physically removing the ink cartridges before you move the printer?
Would it be possible/practical to keep a spare set of empty/dummy cartridges around to plug in for a factory dump procedure? In other words, remove the full cartridges before a move, plug the dummy cartridges in the machine, do a factory dump, then transport the printer, and restore the full cartridges at the new location.
❤ you are the the ultimate source of reference for all thinks printing, I wanted to now how do you feel about aftermarket ink for the canon 1000 or do you recommend oem ink?
For what it’s worth, from personal experience it does NOT empty the ink carts. It uses some, but to say that it empties the cartridges completely does not match my experience.

Jose, I a thinking about spending $280 for a set of 12 "Permanent Chips". What are "Permanent Chips" ? Do they keep track of ink levels and will they last indefinitely?
Hello Jose. Plese, can you tell me how do you remove the error 1293 tank cover open ? I put senser and i cannot close the door, so i don't know how to use the printer with door ink open! Thank you in dvance, Ionut.
I have a Pro2K. I am planning to jump to 700ml OEM carts but I am keeping my empty 160ml carts. Could I install the old 160s and then do the draining cycle so it drains the ink system but not my 700ml carts? As a sort of compromise since a Pro2K is absolutely massive and hard to move even with 3+ people. Keeping this in mind for when I move off my 3rd floor apt someday...
I know am not in the right place for this question but I'm not home and my Pro-100 gave me an error message ptior to me leaving and can not redtcwith this on my mind... I have been refilling my ink with the acvordance with your video.. for a couple of years. I replace a set after the PC was getting low. After installing all the refilled cartridges. I got error will not print..
I checked and PC cartridgexwas not light up... I tried anther refill with same results i checked the reset of cartridges and same problem... DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS
I have my 1000 on a moveable cart, does that count? I move it forwards about 2 feet, then back for every printjob.
As long as it remains level.

Hello Jose, can you please give me some advice? My paper keeps jamming. When I hit print it begins to pull the paper to print but it's only pulling to the right which makes it get stuck and then on display it's giving me a paper jam error 1300. I then cleaned my rollers via the maintenance screen and when it tells me to put the plain paper in then hit ok, it tried to pull the paper to print and then there goes that jam again. Please help!!!!
That is not something you can fix by running the built in fixes.
