I agree, I submitted a feature PR and it got accepted in about a week so for those that are concerned just contribute they are very open to letting us help :)
Hey Emmanuel, hope you're doing alright! I'm currently learning Flutter (worked with VB.NET & C# in the past but I never considered myself competent in both languages because I didn't go that deep, I also have basic knowledge without that much practice in Java), because of this I found Flutter easy to learn (a lot of similarities), however I don't want to fall into the same trap for the third time (learning a language then creating a few projects here and there then abandoning the language for good). I'm currently watching Academind course on Udemy in addition to using Rap Payne book as a guide! Do you think that I need another source to learn Flutter or it's enough for now to get started?
You just need one course/book and the Flutter docs. DON'T JUMP FROM COURSE TO COURSE!!! Then after that choose a simple project you could build on your own then consult the docs, SO and tutorials for specific help. You could practice or write a blog post after each module to verify if you understand the concepts covered. But you need a good grasp of programming fundamentals too. That is where many Flutter devs fall short. Getting started with Flutter is easy but building usable and real world apps is a combination of Flutter, programming and mobile dev knowledge. I'll advice you try to be good at one language first (at least a 5/10). Take 4 weeks off and do only dart for 2 weeks and read about mobile dev for 2 weeks. I'll recommend Android. Just a basic tutorial on both android and dart the dive back into the course you're taking. Choose one...either the udemy course or the book else you'll fall into tutorial purgatory. You'll have a fresh view of the content. All the best on your journey
Hey bro Emmanuel, thanks a lot for your posts on Flutter, it's really inspired me to develop more, especially seeing a Nigerian doing so well both on TH-cam and Flutter, just know you have someone who takes you as mentor😁...is there an easier way to communicate with you? Thanks
Thanks for your kind words man. Been getting such request lately from Naija folks. Might join twitter, setup a discord channel (members only) or put up a public mail. Would figure out the best medium because i personally don't do social media. Btw, i respond to all comments on my channel so you could drop related comments anytime man. Good one with your channel. Nice
Can you give example that support your newbie support? I mean no question example here just slideshows. Which for me is a really big problem when you try to answer this vid title. Are you saying their questions is too wide to answer? React-native also support almost all platform but have lower issues? I mean should Flutter follow their way of releasing new SDK?
@@fleepgeek Yes, because of the first part only full of slideshow I kinda feel disoriented. Honestly I love your statement actually but not showing some evidence along with your statement is not good.
@@skyxerxes5620 i showed two questions from the issues page that showed what you asked for. The Divider and the MediaQuery example but most importantly the Divider example shows the type of issues the newbie would open wheb the problem was not actually from Flutter. Sorry if the slides made you feel disoriented. I initially planned this to be a video of me just explaining these stuffs and would be 10 minutes max but i don't have a camera for now. I've learnt that some type of topics are best shared that way. I plan to do better next time though but i'm glad my points are valid so far ;)
React Native does not support all platforms, separate projects do, react native has almost no components and they are removing those they currently have.
also take in account that
the main repo host all the issues related to
- first party plugins
- docs
- flutter.dev website
- tools
Yeah true.
Accidentally bumped into this video, instant subscribe to the channel! Quite a refreshing topic lol
