The best thing about metal is the wide variety of amazing music. We are getting ready to record our EOY list episode of the Harsh Vocals podcast next week and our top 30 has a few of the same ones but mostly very different. My cohost and I agree on our top 2 (Gaerea and In Vain) but from there it’s kind of all over the place. I also like clean vocals so I also have traditional and power metal on my list where my cohost does not. There truly is something for everyone where metal is concerned. This year especially. 2024 has probably been the strongest year for metal since 1986.
