    I'm new at this, a few days ago i spent a couple of hours doing candles and trying different fragrances, i ended up so dizzy and nauseous. I think I'll get some kind of breathing mascara.

    Can you use wax melts to scent candle wax? If so, what would the average amount of melt cube to wax be?

    What if you accidentally drink it? Like I did one day making candles and using a disposable coffee cup
    To hold the F O …thinking later it was coffee and I drank it. Just one sip…Poison control said I would be ok. 🥵hoping no long term effects!!

    My solid colognes are 1/6th fragrance oil, so this video leaves me partially concerned even after spreading the load between multiple different fragrances. :/

    So I've been looking at SDS data sheets (I'm in Europe) and some of them list carcinogenic substances that are used to create the fragrance oils and I was wondering, how do I find out if they're safe to use?

      We (makers) are at the mercy of trusting the certifications on the IFRA certificate. That cert will also help us understand the different ways we can safely interact with fragrance while we're making product with it.

      @@ArmatageCandleCompany so basically as long as they have a certificate that says that I can use the fragrance at a particular percentage, they are saying in that measurement, it's safe to use?

    • @ArmatageCandleCompany
      @ArmatageCandleCompany  ปีที่แล้ว

      To our best knowledge, yes.

    do you know why is my candle flickering? i made 3 candles and they all flickered like crazy. same wax, different wick and i use essential oil. is it because of the essential oil in general or it's just that i didn't mix the oil and wax well enough? and does fragrance oil works better? im so confused 😩

    • @benderisgreat95able
      @benderisgreat95able ปีที่แล้ว

      I normally use woodwicks and those are considered trickier to find a balance for. If you're using a wick that's too thick or thin, or cut too long or short upon first use or not burnt for the correct amount of time during first use and beyond, you may experience performance issues.

      It’s the essential oil

    Hi, I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question… what is the difference in the fragrance that is used to create candles and the fragrance that is used to create perfume? I know you can’t use perfume to scent candles but are the fragrance oils that are used to create the scent of perfume different than the fragrance oils used to create candles? Are there 2 different types? Are there specific candle making fragrance compounds? I’m getting stumped so your help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

      Your question is smart. Most fragrance oils are formulated in the same spirit. My understanding is candle fragrances are assembled to optimize the note throw at a particular temperature range and and such. However, this is only my suspicion. It’s worth researching deeper if you want to learn the nuts and bolts of making fragrance. It’s an expensive hobby, but a strong community of hobbyists if you get involved in it.
