For clean fiction books, I definitely recommend you venture backwards into middle-grade (intended for middle schoolers) fiction. Though written for younger audience, they can still appeal to the heart! My favorite of all time is the Secret Garden, but this genre is exploding with many diverse and modern storeies too finally with black girl main characters just like us! (ex: Amari and the night brothers)😊
I loved Fervent! I just purchased Awaken as a daily devotional by Priscilla. I have been praying about being less offended so that I’m not holding grudges in my heart, I will have to check out The Bait of Satan, Thank you! And I’m from the South Salmon comes out however I’m feeling at the moment whether politically correct or not 😂😂
A few Christian fiction authors I have read over the years are Janette Oke, Michael Phillips, and Karen Kingsbury, but one of my favorites, is Lori Wick. She writes very good clean Christian romance fiction. You can also try the Love Inspired and Heartsong Presents books (which are the Christian fiction parts of Harlequin publishing).

I recently read Distant Shore by Karen Kingsbury. Wonderful Christian author. I will continue to read her books. Also I am looking foward to reading books by Kim Cash Tate. She has a great series and the reviews were wonderful.
I recommend fiction books by Francine Rivers. The first book I read by her was Redeeming Love and wow that book left me in state I can’t even explain. Be Blessed.
