I like this Fenty powder alot even tho its medium coverage and smoothing I still get oily with the foundation it's good for 8 hour shift however my makeup forever matte powder is holy grail filter in a powder flawless from beginning to end nothing tops it however fenty is close second what I also like about Fenty you dont look cakey unlike mac powder.. Yes for sure!! MUFE is wayyyyy more matte than Fenty. I think that does make it slightly more versatile. I think Fenty will be my cool weather foundation and MUFE when it’s warmer. Happy new year to you and your family as well! ❤️

I was going to use it over a liquid, LOL but you said not to.. So I will just try it out as what it is. Powder Foundation. LOL! You can use it over liquid foundation I just wouldn’t recommend. I know a lot of people do that but I think that’s a fast way to get cakey if you’re not careful. Of course it’s also going to depend on the coverage of the liquid foundation. I personally like to used powder foundation as the foundation lol. And I totally feel you. Im being very particular about my purchases this year. First part of the year I plan on scaling back as well.

I have found that the older I get, I transitioned from oily to normal.i find that I like powder foundation better than others. I wear KVD powder foundation. My shade has been discontinued 😔. I tried their suggestion for substitute, but its too pinkish. Im hoping this one will take its place
I think powder foundation is more forgiving as long as you don’t have dry skin. I feel like there’s this false idea that once you’re a certain age you shouldn’t use powder foundation and a bunch of other things. It’s just simply not true. It’s all going to depend on the skin type. Also a lot of mature black women have oily-combo skin. I’m not 100% sure on this but I’m willing to bet it’s due to melanin. My mom is 58 and has oily skin. Try it out and please let me know. I have a feeling it will work for you. Happy new year 🎉

I fell off December month trying to decorate the home and get things together for my family to have a wonderful season. Amber you need to compare this to M.A.C and MUFE powder foundation. I too thought you would have ended up looking orange because when you applied it I said uhh too orange but in normal light it looked very good. Shade twins 👯♂️

The powder looks good on you. I’m not too jazzed about trying it though. I used to be oily combination but since I’ve been on Tretinoin, my skin has been normal and sometimes sensitive. On another note, what do you think about the new Gucci foundation and primer? Will you be reviewing that on your channel?
Yes have to be super careful especially if your skin is sensitive. Ummmmm I haven’t really given much thought about the Gucci foundation to be honest. I can look into it

That was a fantastic review! I have really oily skin. If I prep my skin and then use this powder foundation would you recommend I use a light dusting of a loose powder to mattify or is this matte enough?
Thanks so much. You could do that but I would be very light handed with it. Sometimes too much matte powder can make the skin overactive and push out more oil.
