      Have you seen _Fantasia_? Hippos can be quite graceful! So they don't apply to my playing. I'm more of a . . .I don't know, blind and drunk cow?

    I remember the first time I heard Gallup play. It was over 20 yrs after he'd been around. He blew me away. You did a wonderful job here. As a pro guitarist who watches these things for entertainment, I want to say you are a very good player.

    I believe that the rhythm method you are using, inserting 7th's and 6ths on the B string, is entirely correct and Scotty Moore used it too, notably on 'Baby let's play house'and some other Elvis tracks. BTW, I too am a big Cliff Gallup fan!

    • @acpg
      @acpg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Get the guitar down first then try singing along. Not actually too hard with this one as the vocal is right on the beat and often either matches the rhythm of the guitar or fits in the gaps. Give it a try!

    You can see the real kind of rockybilly sounds in this...it's definitely not folk or too jazzey or classical or anything..or metallic or any of that stuff which is not even proper music really when you are not trying to not sound bad in a rocky type of way. Love the reverbs by the way. This really helps.

    Hi Adrian, great lesson once again👍 I was wondering if you would do a lesson for a who song, focusing specifically on Pete Townsend’s acoustic playing and how to develop a rhythm style similar to Pete’s with a lot of attack in it. Something like Pinball Wizard or Magic Bus would be great. Thanks again!!!
