There's a mod for Breakpoint called Spartan on Nexus mods. It makes most guns louder both unsuppressed and suppressed, and altered how AI behave as a group. It doesn't sound like much but the reason why Breakpoint feels so easy most of the time is because the enemies don't know where you are. Having the enemies be able to track you down makes the game a lot more intense and mil-sim like.
The funny thing is they'll actually still start searching in your direction even if you did nothing to show your position, and they completely ignore distractions if you haven't used a distraction object. For example, calling for a mortar strike in Wildlands; they'll instinctively know the direction to you (unmodded)
Yeah enemies are borderline deaf most of the time. They should probably be able to see a bit further, but the deafness is what really makes stealth straight up boring. On console I just dropped the difficulty to Advanced and stopped running suppressed primaries. Much more dynamic gameplay that way, relying on pistol and knife for stealth and being forced to go loud more often.
Can confirm, spartan mod makes the ai (espacially the ghosts) as deadly as they should have been (I think it even has an effect where all ghosts get night vision too which makes night raides extremely hard). Also, finally you can have long distance firefights with all enemies which add a ton of immersion. And as stated, the suppressed sound edits makes a huge difference when doing objectives in bases. Still, it doesnt fix one huge problem which is the lifeless world, though I've come more aquinted to it due to this mod.
@@jacobmetalcrafter6259 If you use the pathfinder ability to call in an Amaros drone, behemoths and turrets will immediately mortar your position even though you're remotely controlling the drone.

Now try this with the Spartan Mod Drewski. It's a completely different game. You can also remove bullet trails, and auto-reload. This suprisingly makes the game even more challenging as now enemies can not only spot you from 300 meters; when they shoot at you, you'll have no clue where they are. All you have is the sound of bullets weezing past you and the dirt impacts to figure out their general direction. However, they could be any distance.
When they say 11 o'clock or 9 it's always in relation to the direction you're facing unless they add my first then they mean their direction. Hope this helps.

Breakpoint with the immersion setting turned all the way up is honestly one of the best shooter games in recent memory, I don't even think that's debatable. The game had a rough launch and gets a lot of negative attention though.
So happy to see you team up with Custer. Custers GR gameplay is fantastic. Breakpoint really did have the potential to be brilliant but they fell short. Playing it like this however still has that little sparkle of magic that nothing else can quite touch. Great video guys
Personally I feel Breakpoint (and Wildlands) feels much more nicer and realistic, as well as challenging if you don't use the drone to do all your scout & spotting. Just using the Binoculars is already such a different feeling and needs you to do proper recon work, before going in.
I think it's reasonable to have your ammo and health visible. You would be able to check your pockets irl, and your 'feelings'. I like having the map set to compass if i'm doing the stories.
This is how I play with my dad when we do shooters together. Ghost Recon and Sniper Elite have been our favorites. He does pretty good for an old timer!
Good content as always! I used to insta-watch your videos, but now, when I see an upload, I wait until I can get comfy and pay full attention. It's like a reward at the end of the day for me.
Who knew I would be re-learning a subject that I had learned in college, that was the basis of that the state can take any property they want with proper authorization from the government. For natural gas pipelines, or other services. In a ghost recon video.
I miss being able to play this game. Loved doing it with the more realistic settings and the one-life mode, where if I died, had to make a new character.
Man ive started playing this game after getting my first window machine in years & i started directly on extreme & it's insane. Love this thing. Extreme without teammates is even more insane & sometimes even impossible. Try the last mission in operation amber sky the plane flying mission & it's almost impossible to finish without dying on extreme.
so nice to see you both taking out Sentinel military bases in GR Breakpoint ) You and Custer are probably the stealthiest infiltration team in shooter games ))
Happy to see spawn pop-in is not just my issue. I can’t count how many times I’ve died because the game decided a trio of Wolves needed to be spawned 10 feet in front of me during a behemoth fight. Ugh
Seeing people play like this makes it actually look pretty fun. Unfortunately the only friend I have to play games like this is very competitive and races me for kills. Either he rushes and gets us caught trying to get as many kills as he can or I rush because I want to actually do something and play the game instead of wondering around while he kills everyone. Had the same issue in sniper elite co-op. I've tried to play this game several times but I always just get annoyed at the terrible AI and how they magically know where you are even if you've moved or didn't do anything to actually give away your position. Pretending to "search" while just going straight for you. Once had several drones circle me like they were playing hide and seek with a child and had to act like they didn't know exactly where I was to keep it fun. Or in co-op my friend sniping someone and putting the enemy in caution causing half of them to scale the mountain he was on several hundred meters away while the other half "searched" for me on the other side of the base despite me having done nothing to attract attention. Like 7 guys all slowly making their way right towards me pretending to search, changing direction whenever I moved, even backtracking still towards me if I manage to get past them, converging on my location and not leaving until they "find" me.
2:00 When I was in the Army I had to play the enemy for an exercise. The training platoon had to take a hill seven of us were holding. I cut up some brush and stuck it in my helmet band and secured more around my webbing as a makeshift leaf suit. Finally, I draped a camo net towel over my face like a veil--so there was no facial outline (and it kept the mosquitos out). I squatted just in front of a bush with the same leaves and waited for the dawn assault. The training platoon came up right where I was squatting and ran right past me, one even brushing my shoulder. Then one guy stopped and stared right at me! I thought that was it, he'd seen me. But after a good five seconds he carried on his way. The back rage that happened after that was epic. Done well, even a makeshift leaf "suit" really works!
Watching your videos on Breakpoint and Wildlands always gets me so excited to play! Playing with no hud on harder difficulty is definitely the way to go, although my biggest gripe that really takes the realism out of it is the ammo cap for each weapon. Like yeah, the make it difficult by the scarcity of ammo you get from dead players, but why do I have 350 rounds for my pistol? I wish there was a way to set it to a realistic amount that you would actually be carrying on you.
I noticed the 350 rounds for the pistol straight away, he was dropping entire mags after 2-3 shots and there was really no penalty for it since there was _such_ a deep reserve of ammo :/
I personally feel like turning off hud and extreme difficulty is only fun in multiplayer cause you know you have a real backup. In single player mode it is just nightmare and time consuming
My buddy and I did this for the conquer game mode where the Russians invade and you gotta secure each region. Had the highest difficulty on along with only having 1 primary. Shit was hard as fuck given the lack of everything. Had to really plan out attacks on heavily guarded locations and be careful when you got into contact
23:25 -- Ha! That made me think of a character like the ones in Step Brothers doing a ninja roll across the whole yard, then popping up ready for action.
I’m about to try this out. Been playing Breakpoint on and off and it’s fun at times but sometimes I feel like the screen is so cluttered with UI and info it just makes it hard to become engrossed in the game. And it makes it so much easier. I think I’ll max the difficulty and turn off pretty much everything.
I wish the range stat in Breakpoint wasn't a bar but actual numbers so you had some idea where you need to account for bullet drop. It also doesn't help that all weapons, minus shotguns and handguns are ranged for about 100m regardless which is really goofy having to adjust for bullet drop at 200m with a .50, or a .338 in Breakpoint's case.
this game would be realistic if the AI could see past 50ft in broad day light and clear weather.. that always bothered me about games like this. they dumb down the AI so much.. those enemy snipers should see you from like 500m. Make sniping feel more like sniping.
This may be my favourite video on youtube. The serious tactical gameplay with you teamate and the funny parts is amazing, please keep making videos on this game 🙏😁
If you guys both haven't tried scum you should. You guys would make a great duo and it would be really good content I think. Could make adventure videos. It's almost like dayz and tarkov mixed together but you can build a base and raid people. Great game if you have time
Played it this way since release, I hate the way modern games have copy pasted guns that look the same but somehow do different damage and enemies take 10000 shots to be killed. It feel nice to be able to just sweep a building like an Umbrella soldier double tapping hostiles.
You're probably the only person than can even partially convince me to try a newer Ubi game, though I still see a lot that I don't like. Fortunately it looks like there is a legit modding scene for this game, so I might give it a go on sale
The blowtorch was such a cool edition and we all needed it in wildlands but when they finally bring it into a game, it’s pointless because all of the bases have large open entrances lol
Great co-op with Custer! How anyone can say this game is bad, is beyond me. It’s one of the most addicting games ever, esp how Ubi worked so hard to turn the game around.
Story is terrible and the world feels dead. AI is braindead and relies on aimbot to hit you. The wolves are talked up to be some big badies but are rarely threatening after the first encounter. I really wanted to like this game but it's just not enjoyable to me like Wildlands was. There are aspects I like but the game overall feels like one step foreword and three steps back.
This is how I play. I NEVER just run into something and go Rambo. I love the stealth aspect of the game; I just wish the camo actually worked. If you're wearing bright orange, they enemy should be able to see you vs. wearing a ghillie suit.
I just replayed FarCry 5 with no hud and hard difficulty and it made it a much better game. Went from a very average and boring game to one of the best games I have ever played. Made me realize that so much that is wrong with gaming now is the dumbing down of games to the point that you can beat them without actually paying attention. With the hud off and hard difficulty, every encounter was engaging and challenging in a new and dynamic way because I couldn’t simply see where are the enemies were at all times and I had to actually think before I acted and left cover.
And watch your flank! The enemies in this game are actually really smart if you can’t see where they are at all times and kill them before they get a chance to flank. Stay on the move and you will be successful.
The idea that you have to modify, strip or neuter many, if not most of the intentional gameplay features put into the game to make it remotely close to challenging and fun says everything you need to know about this game.
I regularly go on a trail that goes near a quarry and every time I go through it straight up sounds like a firefight. What's worse is there's an appartment complex just a quarter mile down the road, so they just have to live with it. The trail also goes under I-20, which is also loud.
i used to play with some friends this but it was impossible man, they are coming from COD gameplay style/typical FPS which usually are games oriented to the individual and not the team, I hope i get a nice friend to play like yours :)
I love seeing these kinda videos. Especially the fact thats its just 2 dudes with no real incentive to invade a base doing so just for the experience. Breakpoint may have a bad rep but i think the people who really get it, really do get it . I cant wait till my bestie is ready to do coop like we used to in wildlands
I went paint balling with a guy in a ghillie. We hid in this tall leafy ground growth by our flag. He said "don't shoot till they reach for it". It was fun.
My biggest pet peeve in this game was not being able to shoot through people, like when they're side by side shooting one and killing both would've been nicer.
I have the hud set to dynamic(custom) so it's off exploring and only limited when in combat, love break point finished 3 times like including expansions and terminator stuff love hunting them
9:45 should definitely identify target with helmet or something related to appearance for example. Like you see the positions can change rapidly and you may lose track of it. And I like how you hide next to the tree, not behind it to hide most of your body. But then again, it's a videogame.

Then just play it like this. Ubisoft isn't forcing anybody to play with HUD on or on easy difficulty.
Personally I feel Breakpoint (and Wildlands) feels much more nicer and realistic, as well as challenging if you don't use the drone to do all your scout & spotting.
Just using the Binoculars is already such a different feeling and needs you to do proper recon work, before going in.
“Disabling every single piece of HUD possible”. - Doesn’t turn off all the HUD
I think it's reasonable to have your ammo and health visible. You would be able to check your pockets irl, and your 'feelings'.
I like having the map set to compass if i'm doing the stories.
When I cleared this base I found that it was extremely easyer to charge from the back to the front working your way up to base. Keep it up!!
This game is so underrated. It's a must play at least once and has multiple scenarios so many ways to play.
Sam fischer story line is always great.
0:45 I felt that on a spiritual level.
15:32 After playing for so long, I didn't think the enemies would look at you. Nice detail.
so nice to see you both taking out Sentinel military bases in GR Breakpoint ) You and Custer are probably the stealthiest infiltration team in shooter games ))
I just play Breakpoint to pretend it's Splinter Cell and cry.
Happy to see spawn pop-in is not just my issue. I can’t count how many times I’ve died because the game decided a trio of Wolves needed to be spawned 10 feet in front of me during a behemoth fight. Ugh
yooo, custer is actually soooo good. his stalker stuff is awsome.
great to see you playing together.
Can relate.
@@0lionhearttheres a setting that make you lose ammo if you reload a mag that still has some in it
So other then using cloak, this is one of the few actual tactical stealth plays I seen of breakpoint. Which is the way I enjoy it best.
I personally feel like turning off hud and extreme difficulty is only fun in multiplayer cause you know you have a real backup. In single player mode it is just nightmare and time consuming
It’s really only fun solo if you’re extremely used to the game tbh, since the AI is so dumb
@@JingMitsuyamaCH i have played wildland 100hours plus I feel ai of wildland is better than break point
wow, guys you give me goosebumbs. Such a great chemistry you got. Keep it up.
GL
The crossover I never knew I needed
I could definitely go for more of this style of gameplay from whatever games will allow for it! You reminded me of watching FrankieOnPC
The only part of the HUD you should have on is the crosshair, but even then it's not mandatory as you can equip your weapons with a laser sight
They should facilitate modding games like these, the community would make a game like this into a gem (I'm talking about deep and heavy modding)
Like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. GAMMA level modding?
this is the earliest I've been to a drewski vid. just got breakpoint a few days ago and turned off most of the hud clutter. its great
Man this game is stunning. Gameplay was fantastic also, I really enjoyed my time with it
Even though this videos one year old I just want to say how great this is. it's really calming to see you guys having fun and sneaking
If you guys both haven't tried scum you should. You guys would make a great duo and it would be really good content I think. Could make adventure videos. It's almost like dayz and tarkov mixed together but you can build a base and raid people. Great game if you have time
I always love hearing drewski talking about hunting
Same. Sad what they're doing to his dads ranch.
@@jarrodshipard what they are doing?
@@gauravnegi4312 putting a road through his property. His dads channel is " Out on The Ranch". He uploaded another video about it today.
This is by far the most interesting gameplay I've watched this year
Really enjoyed this, would love to see some more co-op stealth play with Custer.
I JUST did the conquest mission here where you have to destroy 8 vehicles. If spotted, they take off and leave. Was fun place.
Ghost recon advanced warfighter was the most difficult for me... used to play coop with some friends, such a good time!
I still wish we would have been able to see the island on the far right.
@@spectralassassin6030im sorry but wildlands is worse
@@shimik11 I'll have to strongly disagree.
@@spectralassassin6030buddy, wildlands is the dame but old, I think you guys are blind by nostalgia
Breakpoint is just "Tactical Simulator" and I love it.
This convo is pretty wholesome. I wanna hear more about these hog hunts.
With the hud off and hard difficulty, every encounter was engaging and challenging in a new and dynamic way because I couldn’t simply see where are the enemies were at all times and I had to actually think before I acted and left cover.
next playthrough im definitely running this unless you can change difficulty on the fly
@@shadowyyCFH you can change this stuff at any time. Do it now!
And watch your flank! The enemies in this game are actually really smart if you can’t see where they are at all times and kill them before they get a chance to flank. Stay on the move and you will be successful.
@@Rawbful how do you change the difficulty level mid playthrough?
This is the only Breakpoint video I can find on TH-cam that actually has solid gameplay
I think this game would be greatly improved if it had a 1st person mode.
There actually is a first person mod for wildlands, it’s buggy, but it works surprisingly well and I use it all the time
The idea that you have to modify, strip or neuter many, if not most of the intentional gameplay features put into the game to make it remotely close to challenging and fun says everything you need to know about this game.
Love to hear Drewski's thoughts on city planning😐
I wish i had a duo partner like this, i love stealthing, and id love to have some1 as chill and competent like that :O
1:51 “tearing your pants open by the third slide” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Now that was fun! Great comedy at the end too. It was like
Just picked up Breakpoint with all dlcs on Xbox for $20 a couple weeks ago. Man its fun! Wildlands is still better imo but im enjoying Breakpoint.
I really wanna see a Full Squad of these 2 alongside Deef- The amount of teamwork and tacticalness would be so cool-
I went paint balling with a guy in a ghillie. We hid in this tall leafy ground growth by our flag. He said "don't shoot till they reach for it".
It was fun.
great vid! hope to see more like this, where you play "casual" games with difficulty cranked up to realistic
Love your content just based off of this video lmao. Great personalities guys, you got yourself a sub.
My biggest pet peeve in this game was not being able to shoot through people, like when they're side by side shooting one and killing both would've been nicer.
Love this. Thanks for sharing this awesome gameplay.
I have the hud set to dynamic(custom) so it's off exploring and only limited when in combat, love break point finished 3 times like including expansions and terminator stuff love hunting them
“Some say shoot to maim i say unload the clip and let the lord decide” 1:14
I just whatched the demo ranch video that was funny. Apreciate the time and effort into the content keep up the great work.
11:36 looks completely outstanding :D
Real deal here
Wow. Custerplays sounds a lot like Keralis. Total throwback to my old taste in TH-cam videos. Gonna have to check both guys out now.
Hey drew I was wondering if you still use that pc from the video mil-sim killer and if it that guide is still good to use in 2023
the fact you killed the driver of the technical and that it ran custer over, made me LOL so loud!
Really wish this was never third person, might've been interested if so.
This is great. I used to do this in Far Cry 3, turn off hud and just slik about the jungle trying to liberate the whole island
11:36 that knife work 🤌
THIS IS SO WHOLESOME
Wow, it's like you found the "Tom Clancy Mode" option in the menu! Great video as always, might be time to finally start my playthrough.
9:45 should definitely identify target with helmet or something related to appearance for example. Like you see the positions can change rapidly and you may lose track of it.
And I like how you hide next to the tree, not behind it to hide most of your body.
But then again, it's a videogame.
