I'm honestly just shocked he's even been able to reach the heights he has with diabetes. It's a rather tough disease to control when you're in a set schedule, let alone being on an NHL roster playing 82+ games, most of them away.
If the NHL was smart and wanted to market their athletes better, they would get away from making players give canned, cliched answers to every single question they’re asked.
