This hike is out of this world - it's like the tropics took a wrong turn & temporarily got lost in Campania or something & it's just moments (well, relatively) from the cathedral? Plus it's got all that cool medieval paper-making history tucked away under that lush canopy of prehistoric ferns & waterfalls? I could kick myself for never doing this when I was there. Welp, guess I gotta go back again, but this time stay for the whole 90 day limit - every year til the end!
Wow, what a hike! I'm exhausted! I was thinking you were going to stop at the Trattoria (2:13) and get us a bite, but no. . . Pausing now to make some pasta! Nice background on someplace most of us didn't know existed. I would probably spend my time at the coastal touristy area. Need to plan our next trip to allow more time for this kind of exploration. My favorite video from you so far! Cities are great, but nothing beats nature mixed with old ruins. The constant sound of the water throughout the video really was relaxing as well.
Wow, thanks! Maybe I should post up my first video of the hike. I filmed it in December and started in Amalfi and walked uphill to Pontone and then back down the steps to Amalfi. I decided it would have been better to film the hike coming down instead of going up. It was still a good video though. I'll post it for members :)

So enjoyed this video. The Amalfi coast makes my mind boggle with its history. The time and hardship it must have taken to find accessible areas to grow food and establish villages is amazing. It really is up in the Clouds as they are practically touching the mountains. Very humbling to us present day mortals. 😍☁️🌄
