What were the wires coming out of it for? I understand after he cleaned the area he soldered the new power plug and connected the bad joints... what was the original wire doing?
The original power socket would have been non responsive so a bit of junky wiring, soldered onto the PowerPoints on the board would have bypassed the socket. Hence replacement of the socket and removal of junk wiring.

My closest memory to Sega days was Mortal Kombat. You'd have to put the blood cheat in still before you played. What's the stuff you used to buff out those scratches on the covers?
The barrel jack that was used was fine, no idea why he blobbed epoxy under it. The solder anchors are plenty to hold it, unless you want to go he-man hulk smash on it or something.
14:11 That's not restored. The outside is supposed to be mostly matte finish with some parts shiny. You made the whole thing have a dull gloss finish and you didn't even get rid of all the scratches in the process. What's the point to destroying what's left of the original finish if you don't even remove the scratches?

Copiado y pegado: "How does Magic Eraser work? Now that we know a Magic Eraser is not a sponge, what is it? It’s actually blocks of melamine foam composed of microscopic air bubbles encased by threads of hardened melamine resin - and it’s every bit as tough as it sounds. Those hardened melamine resin threads are sharp when broken - similar to shards of glass. When you rub Magic Eraser across a surface, the blend of melamine resin and those microscopic air bubbles work together to clean, unlike any other product. The resin is the scraper, the air bubbles are the absorber, and if anything survives that powerful one/two punch, a bit more pressure will break the melamine down into even more tiny abrasive particles. It’s like a hand-sanding machine with a built-in vacuum function."

You take out this sticker's glue easily using oil.
