    Manzhuoli is so much Russian. Plenty of Russian and Mongolian folk dances and music. The buildings are more Russian than Chinese. It show that China is open.Mongols had been in China for thousand of years or since history began. Naturally live as chineses nationals.

      Mongols took China captive and created a new dynasty. They retreated and maintained that dynasty in the land we call Mongolia today. The Jurchen Manchus rose and founded the Qing Dynasty which subdued the Mongols and then rest of China with the help of the Mongols. In the 20th century Mongolia got independence from China. It can be said that the Mongols raided, invaded, and overcame China at several points in history, but it can *never* be said that China took Mongolia captive...especially when Mongolia didn't even exist until 100 years ago.
