This performance shows exactly why Bon Jovi is a icon in music and the real reason why he can still sell out any place in the world. It is called real talent.
Just watched this again, it's still great! Ritchie is at the top of his game! The band, unbelievable! Tiko, David and Hugh are the best! Eric, fantastic! And Jon, the voice, the hair (OMG the hair), the dancing, best EVER! I love this! I WANT MORE!!!
+Marcelo Silva Hugh reaches high notes fine here. Alec may have sang great but his Bass Playing was allegedly not the best at times and he definitely did not play Bass on every single Song he's credited on. Hugh also played Bass on some. Not all of them but some
soeffingwhat alec is a great bassist yes so I hear a lot of shows jovi bon and saw that he was in some bass lines of different studio this is noticeable in the Born To Be My Baby , You Give Love a Bad Name , however, all the musicians of the bands change some past of live music , is a chase with alec so much that the chorus of the songs that I quoted it makes a low simplest line due to sing high notes taking into account the voice of problems that Jon was in the middle of the Slippery When Wet tour and at the very end of the Syndicate Tour of New Jersey. Demand for MTV Special tests in 1992 and you will see the difference ! Alec was a guy who did so the bass lines but in the studio !!!! And if Hugh was so good why he did not continue playing from the first album ???
Marcelo Silva Hugh did continue playing after the first Album..Its obvious while listening to the Albums Slippery When Wet, New Jersey and Keep the Faith, that Hugh is playing on a good few of those Songs. I know cos I've listened to his playing with Alice Cooper and on the latest Bon Jovi Albums and his style is identifiable. Alec may have played on some but he probably just did not like recording in the Studio... The reason Hugh was not a member of Bon Jovi in the first place is because he was older than the other Guys and did not look the part with all the Hairspray etc, so he continued to help out in the Studio while Alec John Such became the Official Bassist in the Band and for the Live Shows. Hugh also had a busy schedule as a session Bassist playing with Alice Cooper, Cher etc.
soeffingwhat I have the album "Hey Stoopid" of the alice cooper that Hugh play bass, but to hear some show like stockholm 93 which has six songs you will hear the timbre and alec style, also well recorded shows you can better understand . One thing that draws attention is that Jon Bon Jovi is a fan of the Beatles, and oddly enough he always left an open question about alec position !!!! But something is certain type guy be just the backing vocals would be ridiculous !!! By the fact that he plays well down Hugh's studio is soon forced to make bass studio so much that he does adicições live versions !!! The alec did that in some song like Born To Be My Baby and Bed Roses, Alec he also knew how to use different music pieces in it, for example the chorus of Born To Be My Baby it uses part of Solo, Just as some times in in These Arms, Keep the faith he does this he also uses some pieces in different parts of the song. The Stranger than in reissues of albums Jon uses live versions of 95,96,00, 01 ..... anyway. No One Wild Night Live, he uses only two versions of alec time of the songs! And I say to you is something well beyond what Imaginos he uses these newer versions why alec receive lower part of the profits earned. Alec was a key piece and today it is a big no seeing that the voice of Jon is precarious, we are without Richie, David and Tico and Holding points. Hugh can make the perfect down well but his backing vocals are terrible has songs that even Bobby is more in evidence than him. I read an interview in 2000 that a fan was alec house, he never said he did not record the albums except THESE DAYS he says he met some songs and had even worked on some of them. However, it was not in the mood to continue with the band !!!!
Man, this brings back memories! I remember like yesterday, watching this live on tv, then staying up late to see the acoustic performance (and of course, recording it all on VHS. lol) This was also the same year I got to see them in Cuyahoga Falls, OH for the greatest rock show of my life. I was almost 13 years old. Thanks for this! :)
No he cannot sing like this anymore - so disappointing - you can actually see that from the crush album, his voice has become nasal and weak - and there is no reason for it other than laziness! They once were great, now they are complete shit!
it breaks my heart, when I hear him sing in the last years. You can really see he's giving it all, grabbing the microphone in order to gather the strength to sing his big hits and his face going all red.... But I do wonder, if it is just because of the age, or is it also because he is/was not maintaining his voice fitness also when not turing (e.g. smoking, no vocal trainings)...
KarlaElaine100 yes it's true but compare to keep the faith days, those were his powerful voice, even the 1991 tour is the most powerful for me since slippery when wet days.
Thanks for making my day for 20 minutes. I enjoyed every second of it. John at the height of his vocals. Richie's comforting back vocals as good as usual. I miss the 90s.
Insanely GREAT looking, sings like OMG and just WOW!!!!! ... it's no wonder there's so much jealousy on here...they know all their girlfriends are warming up watching Jon Bon Jovi, before they face their monotonous reality for the night... just saying!
Imagine having him as your dad....he had 3 sons and a daughter.. trying to understand his hotness even as a guy now in his 50's.. married to same woman since 1990's...love the chest hair!!!
Gracielaaa..waow..thanks for the answer..by the way are in australia? or overseas cos if in aussie? ill play music with you,i got electric guitar and acoustic guitar
Jon show cases his talent here. I love it when he shows how versatile his voice is and sings in different styles that are not typical for him. Not sold on the other guy singing "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" with him though. I'd class him as a more a passable karaoke singer, nothing more.
+Blair Linthorne I meant he doesn't sound very good. Off-key, and just an over all bad performance. Especially with Jon being so top-form in the performance.
JoshParry I wouldn't say so, definitely not all the time, but occasoionally maybe..They tend to downtune the songs a bit when performing Live. That's standard procedure really, reduces wear and tear on the Vocals.
Me encanta Von Jovi.
+Marcos Siqueia Nossa... Eu amo o álbum Keep the Faith.
In these arms... Keep the faith... Livin...
If only he could have bottled that voice and kept it on a shelf, only to be pulled out for concerts and recording. He has one of the best rock voices out there, not so much now, but I love that he and the boys are still playing. If only he knew that the voice would give out after months and months of constant touring. So called artists these days lip sync to everything so what's the fun with that shit?
melclibra, beyond great, WAYYYYYYY beyond!!! Absolutely correct. If the critics would pay attention to "This house isn't for sale" album, they would realize that the boys from Jersey can still sing as well as being such talented musicians. Jon wrote the songs in a key that didn't stress his voice, he threw in some higher notes, but still in his range. I am so lucky to have done most of my growing up from the late 60's through the 80's because I got so many musical influences during those years. The last 15 years haven't been so great, so I stick with stations that play the "classic" rock, including Bon Jovi and Journey just for starters. There are still some very talented artists out there, Neil Diamond was my first, and I still love him but not his more recent music. Kids of today don't know what real music is. They go to see Katy Perry or Taylor Swift, or Bieber.....I can't say his name without thinking I'm going to throw up in my mouth. His tours are NOTHING compared to Bon Jovi, he hardly sings at all. It's almost ALL "backing track", aka his CD, so that when he falls through a hole on the stage or has to run off to puke, you can still hear him singing while all of the dancers are still doing their thing. Fuck that, I want to see and hear my singer. Jon commands the stage, and whatever he wears for pants, they show what a cute ass he has and he knows how to use it. I can't believe that people were actually saying shit because he wore a suit to the Hall of Fame. It's a big deal, I wouldn't have expected any less. I'm sure that they hated what they were wearing while they were on stage, but they earned that time. Give a listen to their MTV video, here's their first song, and what I love so much is that at 3:32, Dave flips off Jon 3x and Jon flips him off right back. Here's the link, th-cam.com/video/64W62ZXgEQU/w-d-xo.html but there is also a video of the entire concert and it's great.
This performance shows exactly why Bon Jovi is a icon in music and the real reason why he can still sell out any place in the world. It is called real talent.
This man deserves EVERY award he gets and then some.........
I love Jon any year but freeze this time in 1995 and you have a beautiful & perfect work of art....
His best hair cut ever !!!
Jon's jacket is the coolest ever.. Still been looking for it ever since
Jon was great there, Voice and beauty
Jon and Richie are amazing! Their voices together give me chills.

Kathy Brown But Alec great singer We Miss You The True Bass Man of Bon Jovi. Reached high notes with facilities without losing voice.
+Marcelo Silva Hugh reaches high notes fine here. Alec may have sang great but his Bass Playing was allegedly not the best at times and he definitely did not play Bass on every single Song he's credited on. Hugh also played Bass on some. Not all of them but some

Love this great song Jon and Ritchie! Great !

Jon when his voice was absolutely awesome!
His voice is still Amazing! But I do see your point. He sounds Freaking Awesome on this.
No he cannot sing like this anymore - so disappointing - you can actually see that from the crush album, his voice has become nasal and weak - and there is no reason for it other than laziness! They once were great, now they are complete shit!
wtf - it's called aging bud

Sambora´s voice sounds so good to my ears. Just amazing!!! Love his voice and swing! Richie rules!
Amazing! Really adds so much to the song!
Jon Bonjovi always great singer! Live song Richie play that electric guitar. Thus is great.
playing a song called "It's my life" in 1995!

I just love his outfit . He ‘s gorgeous .
Insanely GREAT looking, sings like OMG and just WOW!!!!! ... it's no wonder there's so much jealousy on here...they know all their girlfriends are warming up watching Jon Bon Jovi, before they face their monotonous reality for the night... just saying!
Richie’s costume in ‘95 is his trademark and Jon looks so beautiful here.

+Pax E The guy who sung the original version, not a karaoke singer
+Blair Linthorne I meant he doesn't sound very good. Off-key, and just an over all bad performance. Especially with Jon being so top-form in the performance.
True. And I've never heard the original version before but yes, Jon eats him alive here and pretty sure everyone else around this time
His voice was so good then!

+soeffingwhat struggling a bit now but what do you expect
JoshParry I wouldn't say so, definitely not all the time, but occasoionally maybe..They tend to downtune the songs a bit when performing Live. That's standard procedure really, reduces wear and tear on the Vocals.

Great frontman of all time
sometimes I think of Hugh as a robot created to play bass.
Incroyable !!
