It was an August trip. I don't think we had a bad camp. The bear fences in the camps was initially unnerving but we quickly got used to it. Have a wonderful trip!
@@JohnSells Thanks John, very good to know. I grew up South of the Rogue, right across the stateline on Scott River, worked on Cal Salmon, Klamath, and Trinty Rivers logging and surveying. Now considering them in a different light, from the oars of our 16' Aire Jag. We did our first run on the North Fork of the John Day on Memorial Day. It was too low, 1,120 CFS, and very bony for a beginner trip but we launched anyway, last chance of the year. It was trial by fire, or I should say by boulder, NOT a relaxing trip, but we survived by the grace of God. We are hooked. My son and I have been following all your trips on YT for over a year now. Looks like a great trip...that middle chute kicked your butt....been there.

We head there in a couple of weeks, water flow currently 1400 or so... seems very manageable.

After consulting our friends on the trip, we think it was in the 1600 range. Our trip was later in the season.
