- Last year I visited Barcelona and it was my dream to watch one of these guitar maestros live. I was fortunate to watch Costel Tanase play live at the lovely streets of Barcelona! A guy who's videos I've been watching for the past 5 years and more.
It became even more memorable when I got to chill with him for a bit in between his session and he even took my request!
This is him playing Pharaon (Gipsy Kings) on my request. He usually plays on alternate days (near the Cathedral) and mostly covers the latest songs..however, playing Pharaon, on my request, was truly something special and a memory I'd cherish forever!
PS : The 30-second build-up to the main part @2.12 is something special!

This guy is amazing. I saw him play two years ago when I visited Barcelona for my honeymoon. My wife and didn't have time to buy a CD and heard he was there daily so we thought we would catch him the next day. We went back the next day and he was gone, in fact, I went back last year and couldn't find him anywhere my biggest regret is not buying his CD. If anyone has the songs from his CD saved please let me know I'd be more than happy to compensate you for your troubles, it would be a long dream come true
Holy shit, this is a incredible story and almost mirrors my wife and I’s story 😆. Saw him 3 years ago and just blew us away, my wife wanted the cd and for some moronic reason I didn’t get it and I have been living with that regret since! We still talk about it….Would also love to buy his CD somehow.
