If I'm not mistaken, this movie is an adaptation of Shartchand literature. Very beautiful treatment. Most of your audience here is non bengali, hence their ignorance and disrespect towards the film cast. I'm also UPean but bengali cinema lover. Not everyone has the ability to understand underneath nuances of bengali literature and movies. Sharatchand was a champion of women psychology. Great dubbing. Thanks. ❤❤❤

reminds one of saheb bibi golam which was based on a bimal mitra story ... credits do not show writer as sarat chandra ... so who is writer?

based on a short story by tarashankar bandyopadhyay ... bangla original movie (bandini kamala, বন্দিনী কমলা) has credit attribution on top of film title frame ... as director bimal bhowmik is also given credit for screenplay in original movie ... this is hindi dubbed version and sometimes two different voice artist is used in same scene
