Hello Jamie, I just watched The Lords of Flatbush for the umpteenth time on dvd last night and let me tell you the final 5 minutes of the film will always move me to tears every time I watch it with your song playing in the background. Very emotional seeing Stallone, Winkler and the Italian wedding with your music. It's in my opinion one of the most beautiful cinematic moments and not many people realize it...... God bless Dio Benedica
I am Dutch, 62 years old and very nostalgic and sentimental. This song tears me in two. The lyrics, the singing, the melody. Oh, those memories from back then. This is one of those songs that I never, ever get tired of. Have wet eyes and a lump in my throat every time.
Hi Ruud, its one of those coming of age movies, we can all relate to in one way or another. It takes up back to when we were young. The song for the ending is a Masterpiece and a stroke of genius.
@Ruud,: Same here sir, and I am only 39 years old from India. The emotions this movie and it's songs invoke are universal. A memory of our child/teen years and of much simpler times.
Same for me. I’m 60 years old and it brings back great memories. Great song for the finale to the movie. The wedding scene was filmed in Stamford CT and they asked my mother if me and my brother and sister wanted to be in the movie. I didn’t know it was a real movie. I thought it was just someone filming with a personal camera. We opted to play baseball at the park. I wish I chose the movie.
I remember late at night watching The Lord's Of Flatbush at the age of 13 listening to this song at the end of the movie with tears running down my face! What a special time to grow up! You can't find real emotion like this today!
I first saw "The Lords" when I was a 5th grader, which was right when Henry Winkler had become big stars. And with every new year, this wonderful song becomes even more meaningful. It deserves much more attention then it's gotten.
Me too! I was 10 when it came out and I don't know why but this movie grabbed me I've seen it over a hundred times I guess I belonged living in that era or maybe I did in a past life I don't know..

Lou, Brooklyn isn't Brooklyn anymore...all the Italians left...its all Russian and Chinese...they are just waiting for the rest of the left over Italians to leave.
This song is truly gorgeous. I don't know why it isn't better known. It is every bit as good as the better pop songs of the era. I think the film, The Lords of Flatbush, is a gem. If you haven't seen it, you might really enjoy it.
I liked the songs in the movie why i brought the album but as for the film i wouldn't say that i enjoyed it for me it was an ok low budget film to go back to just to see the young sly and Henry winkler and Perry king but i enjoyed paradise alley more it was i tame film of rocky in a way and again starred the young sly
Thanks so much to all of you for these wonderful words that mean so much to me after all these years. What an honor it is to be part of your lives with this truly moving song.
Such a good song. I was maybe 10 years old when this movie came out and I've always remembered this movie and song. Now the tune resonates with me so much more as I've gotten older.
This song is the perfect summary to the meaning of the movie. The Lords was the original 50s nostalgia movie, the cheapness of which is it's greatest asset, lending realism to the story.
This is one of the greatest movies ever made about the 1950s. It not only brilliantly captures the mood and tone of the era itself, but sweetly and nostalgically reminds us of our lost youth and of the painfully fleeting nature of time. I join with everyone who said that they love this song and that it always leaves them with a lump in their throat. It is s beautiful song that is achingly realistic
Freakin awesome!!! I was searching for this song many years ago, stopped looking, and then today was thinking about Dusty Springfield which for reason unknown I typed The Lords...thanks. Toast.
I’m getting chills listening to this. I was probably 10 years old when this was on and I was a huge Fonzi fan. My Mom tried to order the album for me from JCpenny I think and it was out of stock! I never did get the album but had the movie on VCR. Great to hear these songs on here.
This brings back memories of a better time. I saw this when first released in the cinema, the film and the music have remained with me, I love this track, off to Amazon to buy the DVD and soundtrack, Thanks Lords
I first heard of "The Lords" back in the late 70's when Winkler was doing Happy Days, I was 10. I never saw the movie. Winkler was more popular then Stallone back then. I just saw the movie for the first time in 2022. I have to say I truely liked it. One of those coming of age movies. The ending song The Wedding Song is very poetic. One of those songs you like the first time you hear it. It goes right in with the movie. Its a trip to see these young actors and what they became.
