Congrats on the baby boy! Great video, and thanks for the shout out, you are awesome! Can't wait to see some of your footage! I really like that life jacket. First trip advice, go somewhere with calm water. Don't try to take on moving water or a super windy day for your first trip. A boat ramp that doesn't get used much is a great starter place. Also, once you get comfortable in it, I recommend taking an hour and practicing getting back in the kayak in deep water. Tight lines!
T.J. Outdoors man thanks! Bro, you're full of good ideas and I appreciate all the videos you've put out on this thing! Huge help. Hoping to get out tomorrow evening, so we'll see. I have my hatches in. I also have some j hooks for my roof rack I ordered from Amazon I need to install. Another review coming soon! Thanks again man.
Congrats. I bought one a few months ago as well. Doing pretty much the same mods. Took mine on the water for a 9 hour trip - seat was very comfortable. Took a few breaks in between but overall it was a very comfortable ride
Congrats on the boy! I’m curious to know if you prefer the kayak over the bass raider? I can’t get along with the kayak fishing position for some reason. Thoughts? Thanks and great content!
Most def prefer the bass raider over the kayak, simply because of what you said "kayak fishing position". I got the kayak for those not so easy accessible places that I like to fish. It's perfect for that and the seat is great. I just have to get use to the yak and get it set up like I want it to be more comfortable in. Again though, my deck and troll king in the raider is me, comfortable in my element, ha.
I’m all about that troll king! About to get my 10e, lots of great ideas and mods out there. Doing a deck and troll king for sure. I’ve not seen any DYI “power pole” mods, only drop anchor. I guess the transoms aren’t strong enough.
I'm new to the whole kayaking game too.Checkout the Headwaters kayak channel on TH-cam,lots of good info there.Congrats on the new baby and good luck with the new yak.
Love mine!! Just upgraded to the green teton!!
