- Leyland Atlantean 1101 restoration episode 17.
In this episode I attempt to finish all the signwriting on the Atlantean.
I also finally address the stripe through the doors!
Check out my Facebook page Steve Stuff for extra pics etc.
I really look forward to these trips to the 'bus depot' to see what you've been doing each week. And I admire the way you have a go at anything and everything. She's looking amazing, what a transformation.
thankyou, appreciate you watching :)
That maroon red Eggins logo on the front just sharpens her up.
The line flowing through the doors amounts to an enhancement of this private operators livery. Well done.
I can't take my eyes off the wheels.
Such a good job. I like the silver bearing covers.
I agree the red does pop! And the lines add to it thankyou!
Your the man , and the alteration to the front stripe over the doors is a great finish ,all of the sign writing is looking great too.
cheers!
Wow Steve, you have smashed this out of the park.. should be really proud such a great job.
@@fwof3347 thanks I am really happy with it. Next video should be good!
Resto work can make you do skills that you never thought of you don't think you can do, then discover you have a flair for! Fantastic job mate! Agree with previous caller, the holes were for the letters.
thankyou and the letters will be returning!
Mate you my friend should become a signwriter. That is out of this world. Can't wait to see this in person. Cheers mate. 👍👍👍👍👍
thanks for that!
I could not even do painting by numbers, you are the top man.
@@CarlosAlberto-ii1li haha thanks mate.
Steve great idea with the door stripes , sign writing looks excellent.
thankkyou and thanks for watching!
The town holes on the bus net are for LEYLAND cast metal letters usually in white or chrome. We are Eggin your u on Steveo
the letters will be making a comeback!
That is the absolute mutt's nuts Steve! The freehand signwriting is outstanding (you must have the patience of the Pope himself!). The door lines look amazing and really makes the livery pop! Can't wait for the next video!!!!!
thankyou!
Looking great ..
@@jagarg6573 thanks! Can’t wait til next video!
Super lovely!
Perhaps in the next part you can explain why you have undertaken these lovely restorations?
thankyou! and that is a good idea.
Great touch with the doors. Still wondering how the hell I've started following a bus build though 😂 Lovin' the channel. 👍🙂
haha I'm glad you are though :)
Oh what are you doing for tail lights? It would look nice with some oval ones with the chrome base and sit them on the raised sections like they had in the UK. Some of the lights I’ve seen over the years have looked pretty ordinary. I think you made the right call re-sloping the stripe to make it level. That’s what I would have done. I like things being matching and lined up and such.
@@thesausage351 I have a brand new set of lights as original from the factory in Sydney.
@@stevestufff perfect!!
Fantastic 👌🏻
thankyou!
Did Eggins convert the drivers side windscreen wiper away from the original air operated dual one?
hello mate, no I think they are both still air operated on this unit. I'll have to check!
I would have thought all the letters were long nicked by schoolboys!
@@thesausage351 holes are all bogged over. No idea why they deleted it but I have a beautiful set😬
@@stevestufffnice! I knew they had them but I can’t remember last time I saw a set. Hey you missed a golden opportunity to use 8675309 for a number! That’s a weird effect over the bonnet V. Must be some kind of shadowing effect.
