Seventeen's members are divided in three units: vocal, hip-hop and performance. The video you reacted actually had a lot of the hip-hop and performance units. Some of the clips were even covers of vocal unit songs by the other units, so they weren't even the "best" version of the respective songs, vocally. Goes to see how every one can sing in Seventeen xD

Seventeen DK and TVXQ/JYJ Junsu are Korea's best singers. Seungkwan and Woozi also have amazing voices.
4:52 That boy doesn't need autotune. It's really his own voice that sounds like that. I was shocked too at first lol. All members of Seventeen always sing with their own voice, sometimes i also think 'did they do something maybe?' and then i watch them singing live and bang.... dude it's really their own voices.

I've been into Kpop since 2009 and let me tell you the best unbeatable vocals are DBSK/TVXQ. Their voices and live performances are mind blowing. Their harmony is out of the world, they did the best acapellas. There won't be ever a group like them again IN THE WORLD. Seriously.

Don't get confused by the names. DBSK/TVXQ disbanded in 2009/10, because three member went against the company. They made history and changed the contracts and saved ALL idols from unbelievable unfair contracts. They sacrificed BIG (did something no one dare to do), and got blacklisted from all TV Shows. 2 members stayed with the company, the other three who fight the company came back as JYJ. Until now, it's been 10 years. Junsu (JYJ) made his very first TV appearance in 10 years.
They were banned from all TV channels, but they still made their own company, music, album, etc. and became the richest artists/celebrities of South Korea. You should also check out Junsu's and Jaejoong's solo songs..... masterpieces.
They have the most heartbreaking story in the history of Kpop. They have a hella long list of injustices they suffered. Even very famous american shows mentioned JYJ. Check out Junsu's Flower, it's a great interpretation of it (with lyrics) and also an EPIC song.
DBSK are LEGENDS. REALEST ARTISTS OUT THERE.
I love DK but he isn't really at Junsu's level yet, DK has a beautiful and powerful faksetto/head voice but he straines when he belts with his mixed voice sometiles. He will definitrly reach Junsu's level if he continues to improve though. And Seungkwan is just as good as DK in terms of technique (SK's belts might actually be a bit better technique-wise but his head voice and falsetto don't sound as good).
@@jadev164 sure. I don't think there will be someone who will ever reach his level. Junsu's voice is insane. No one can reach that level.
I mean general DK is one of the top singers. And he sure has still a lot of room to improve. He is still so young. He will grow with experiences. I was so happy when DK worked on the same musical as Junsu. I'm sure Junsu taught him few things.

Jhumee Jung it can be either way actually. It can be spelt Sungkwan as well. Just like jeonghan can be spelt like junghan and mingyu can also be spelt minkyu. There’s no rlly rlly right way to spell since it’s Hangul being translated into English.

BUT, I must agree that from one language to another translations leave for a margine of error since names are translated by pronunciation. There are no actual right and wrong with translated names just like with "jungkook" and "junggug".
In korean, I very well know that his name is like 성 and not 승. But plz don't act all knowing because there is no right or wrong in this case.

@@drinkwaternotalcohol i agree with the latter but not for seungkwan's. direct romanization for "ㅡ" is eu and "ㅓ" is for eo and then "ㅜ" for u or woo and his birthname is 승관 and is read as seungkwan but it's okay. stream fear and spread love 💖

Because seventeen are separated into units on their strengths, their vocal unit are all amazing vocalists. But the whole group can sing well and they’ve all had good training, even the rap and dance focused members.

For 5:43 it's actually hiphop team covering vocal unit's song. You should listen them (vocal team) singing to that. Same for 7:26 it's performance team covering vocal unit's song

Yes, I'm very impressed by the sound of Seungkwan. the first time I heard the seventeen song was the first time titled mansae, the part he made me like this song even made me excited. really sounds beautiful and melodious, making me repeat mansae songs many times. especially every time he starts highnote, sometimes I get goosebumps then I get very excited.
btw, the sound of DK also often makes me touched, the sound is really beautiful. I love two seventeen main vocalists, and all 😍

Honestly I was going to recommend watching this after you watched monsta x- kihyun vocal moments that give me eargasms, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for reacting to this now. Seventeen is 13 members + 3 sub units + 1 team= 17 (hence the name). They actually had seventeen members but 4 members left pre-debut. ALSO seventeen is known as "self-producing idols" because they create everything on their own, from choreo to composing and writing the songs. All 13 can sing, dance, and rap with amazing personalities. Also they are one of the best vocalists in kpop

Ahh the one you thought has auto-tune voice (he’s sitting on a swing) thats actually his real singing voice :) his normal speaking voice is already so unique, he doesnt have that heavy and low type of voice, his is rather bouncy. I was also surprised when I heard him singing, his voice is smooth unlike his speaking voice

Seventeen actually has a dedicated vocal unit consisting of the 5 vocalists that they have. So if you see a video with only 5 people, there’s a high chance it’s the Vocal Unit.
There’s also the two main vocalists in there who are DK and Seungkwan. They sometimes do a high note duet like in the first clip that you saw. Seungkwan *most of the time* has lighter hair than DK. So that’s a way to recognise them.
Seungkwan also has chubby cheeks and more rounded features while DK’s are sharper.
Seventeen has more than five vocalists ( technically there are nine vocalists in the group which are: DK, Seungkwan, Hoshi, Woozi, Joshua, Jeonghan, Dino, Jun and The8 ) but according to units, there are five for vocals officially.
P.S: all members in seventeen are trained vocalists and can sing amazingly ❣️. It’s just that each member can only be in one unit. If not for that, all seventeen members would be in more than one unit.

Just saw this and the eruption of reactions from 5:23-7:19 were because those singing are Seventeen's hip hop unit that are mainly rappers singing a Vocal unit's song. The grit you loved was done by their Leader, Seungcheol. Who would have guessed, right? Seventeen's just so dynamic and all around, they're amazingly talented! I hope you enjoyed watching them! you should react to their recent work because they've improved so much one of the main vocalist just debut in musical (DK) and i think he adapt lot of musical technique with his singing. just saw their concert last week and got goosebumps all over me

Seungkwan is one of amazing main vocals in seventeen, he always take highnotes parts in seventeen songs.. and the member you are mentioning in your intro video is Seungkwan, and every member in Seventeen are Talented, true talented, rapper team can be vocalist, vocalist team can be rapper, and performance team can do both, and they make their own music, from produced, do lyric, melodies, choreography, etc
